When my ebay items finished yesterday my total on my graph was £164.04, that is without postage and any fees but it is still a good amount. I am hoping that maybe I will make a bit extra on the posting and that will cover my fees

I also made £1 when I bet with a friend that Suzanne Shaw would win Dancing on Ice! As they say every little helps! :rotfl:

I am busy on slice the pie while I read through the forums then I am off for a hard afternoon of ebaying and see if I can make the same again next week, finger crossed.

Back to work tomorrow  am dreading it. I am sure it can't be as bad as I am thinking.
I WILL BE A GOOD MSEr TODAY :money:

Just popped in to see how you were doing - you're doing fantastically on Ebay! Congratulations! :j It all adds up doesn't it. I am ebaying like mad too at the moment, hopefully will have your level of success! :p

Hope work goes ok for you tomorrow too. :D

I hate the postman! He very kindly posted our new water and council tax bills today  I think that just for a change they should lower our bills this year :rotfl:

I am also doing very well on ebay at the moment and I have joined the mad ebay challenge and I am hoping that will keep me motivated and focused. I recently bought 4 DVDs for £19.88 for all 4 and have sold 3 of them on ebay so far for £62 (for 3) so even after fees etc. I will still have a nice profit :j

 Work is really bad at the moment and I am not sure how much longer I can stay there. Our department is the subject of a security investigation and you just feel that all eyes are on you and nobody trusts you anymore. The atmosphere is so bad and staff morale is at an all time low. I must try to grit my teeth and pray that it improves as I know that I can't just leave with no other job to go to. But I think that it is time to get serious about a new job and hopefully a better paid one.

I am currently doing a new budget to include all the new bills and will be putting up my revised soa soon.

    :icotbaske HAPPY EASTER :easter_ba
This will be me later :EasterBun as I posses no self control! I was carrying my Easter eggs downstairs before and I thought that it was ridiculous as I will be 30 next year and I got:
OH The biggest mini eggs one you can get (£10.69  )
mum An Eeyore cup and the medium mini eggs Easter egg (£7.00)
nan 6 creme eggs (£2 approx.)
friend Galaxy minstrels medium egg (£2.50 approx.)
friends children Selfridges Easter Egg (£4.99)
Which comes to an approximate total of £27.18
I know that I can't physically stop people buying me gifts, well maybe the OH, but it is a lot of money to say that there is a very good chance they will all be gone in a week  All except the cup, which was £6 as my mum had left the price on!
I know that I am very spoilt! :p
On a good note I am ebaying like mad today and have some things finishing later so fingers crossed for good results.

It is very high spending days today and tomorrow. I have to go down to London today and 1 night for the 2 of us in a hotel is £96.94  so I will be making sure I get my complimentary coffee, toiletries etc! We will also need 2 underground tickets for tomorrow and also 2 meals out. All of this is non-negotiable as they're a neccasity as it is for my friend's funeral  The only good thing is that we don't pay for diesel and we are driving to north London so we miss the congestion charge. We are also taking all our stuff to be charged ie. phones, toothbrush etc. to save on our electricity and everything at home will be off at the plug to save on electricity.

It is things like this that make me question my going without to pay off debts. You only live once is my motto and you should make the most out of life as you never know what can happen. My motivation has gone right out of the window and am, understandably, feeling very down.

 What is wrong with the world when a 25 year old mother of a 1 year old can die but all these rapists and murders are permitted to still slime around. :naughty:

    Hi there,

I have just been reading your thread - I am sorry to hear of your friends death. Times like this are very hard and do seem very unfair.

As for 'you only live once' motto - you can look at this both ways. To enjoy life and stay in debt or to really go for it and pay off that debt in full asap and go without and then really live life to the full as you won't be paying in excess of £450 a month on debt and can plan your future more carefully withouth the burden of a large debt.

I hope you start to feel better soon and can pick up on the debt busting as you have come so far.

    Take care xx

Thank you mummum2 and SortingIt for your kind words. :A

Tomorrow is a good day as we both get paid and I will be receiving profit share :j So instead of squandering it I will throw the profit share straight at debt.

I am still ebaying like crazy and also picking up any extra hours where possible.

I am so tired as I have not really slept now for 3 weeks and also had a few very early starts so I will be making the most of my weekend off and catching up on some sleep!

I will also be getting stuck into my ebaying, even though I generally get bored, as I love seeing the results.

I am also going to be working out my new soa and hopefully, even though the bills have gone up, I will be able to pay my mum more ech month.
    I will become a better MSEr:money:

We have had our new bills in so this is the newly revised statement of affairs

Please feel free to make any suggestions however obvious they are as I am sure I could be still saving some money

    RENT £410
ISA £300 (for holidays, birthdays, Christmas, pay off debt sooner)
    MOBILE £20
VIRGIN £30 (broadband, tv and phone)
    WATER £16.98
CONTENTS INSURANCE £21.86 (just changed cheapest I could find)
GAS £40 (on meter and high as it's winter)
    ELECTRIC £30
FOOD £120 (2 adults, 1 cat and also cleaning products and toiletries)
    SAVING STAMPS £10 (For Christmas)
    COUNCIL TAX £91
    TV LICENCE £11.63
    MUM LOAN £600
OH FOOTBALL £20 (an average of 2 matches per month)
HAIR £25 approx. (have it done every 6 weeks)
    MISC. £100 (just a buffer)
    TOTAL £1846.47

    Incomes
    OH £1450
ME £570 approx. (every 4 weeks but sometimes more if I do extra hours)
    TOTAL £2020

    Difference £173.53 ??????

This is just an average budget of what we spend in a month. What I generally do is a more complex one when I know our exact plans for the month including any socialising or other purchases eg. I just had to buy new work shoes. My plan is to work out the budget on a monthly basis and any extra give to my mum to pay more off debts. I am also hoping to reduce on shopping by doing the monthly challenges.

    ANY ADVICE IS GREATLY RECEIVED
