Freeware to monitor Broadband interruptions

Options
My church hall is suffering from frequent interruptions to its Broadband - 6 times in 2 hours is not uncommon.  Very irritating at the least and as we move towards Live Streaming an unacceptable situation  Due, we believe to BT's  poor cable infrastructure in the town.  We are about 600m from the cabinet. OR have been out 4 times with marginal improvements - due again next week.

Does anyone know of any freeware that we can install on a PC to monitor this ?

Wont the modem-router logs show the disconnects and reconnects?

All the PC software (if such a thing exists) will tell you is it can't get online.  It won't tell you why it can't get online, it doesn't know why it can't get online.  All it knows is its not online.  Thus it would be about as much good as a chocolate teapot.

Anyway this information should be in the router logs, it'll tell you when it went offline and when it got back online.
Change your internet filters if you haven't done so already.

Would seem the first place to look and would confirm the problem is not on the customer side.

OR has been 4 times - changes routers, filters -  spent several hours checking connections in a pit.  We need evidence now so we can escalate the problem and get a proper fix.

Which router have you got, have a look in the advanced settings, technical log to see what info has been recorded

Wireless - is that relevant ?

We can see the router drop out as the normal blue goes red.

I’m not a mind reader so I didn’t know that you were seeing the router change status. It’s relevant because it’s quite common for people with connection problems to think they have a broadband problem when’s it’s a wireless issue.
