No Hot Water supply since UTILITA Energy Smart meter installation.
Ever since Utilita Energy installed a smart meter at my rented property in March 2019 I have had no hot water supply.
I am on an Economy 7 Electricity tariff and my hot water is provided by a large Immersion water tank that is connected to my electricity supply.
My flat has just had it's annual electrical inspection by a qualified electrician who advised there was nothing he was able to do about it and that the issue lay with the installation/wiring of the meter and to contact Utilita.
When I speak to advisers at Utilita they tell me to contact an electrician.
Can anyone please advise?

You've had no hot water for two years?

How is your place heated?. Do you have electric or gas heating. If your heating is electric storage heating and happily runs from the off-peak supply then it appears that the tank has been disconnected. One would have hoped that an electrician could have determined what the problem was and at least explained it to you so you could describe it to Utilita.
Not having hot water for two years does sound a bit extreme - what have you been doing in the meantime?
Show us some pictures of your leccy cupboard showing ALL the cabling between the incoming supply to the meter and all the fuse boards. Likewise piccies of the hot water tank and any wiring to it and any controls would help.
There are those on here who can do a better job in diagnosis just seeing pictures than some electricians seem to be able to manage even when they've actually seen it first hand.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0

Why is there an annual safety inspection?
The electrician doing the inspection is paid to do just that. Not fix problem you have had for two years.

Property all electric. All heating old style storage heaters. Apart from bath hot water not essential as I fill kitchen sink from the kettle.

So the storage heaters work as expected but the hot water doesn’t?0

Is it by you or others? Owned, Local Authority. Housing association, Landlord etc?
Really think after 2 years you need to get an electrician in?

Why is there an annual electrical inspection? Arranged by Landlord.
Is it by you or others? Owned, Local Authority. Housing association, Landlord etc? Landlord.
Really think after 2 years you need to get an electrician in? Taking the mick? One just did an inspection on behalf of landlord.
No bath for two years? Electric showers? Electric showers.

So what has your landlord said when you have told them you have no hot water?
