Afternoon all - where did the morning go?
Jobs done:
- took all the remainder of the chicken off the bones to make MSE soup for lunch with the stock
- S&S'd the kitchen
- tidied the LR (which is still dusty)
- stripped my bed and started WMx1 of 2, which must be finished and ready for hanging out by now
- FUPA clean dry washing off the airers
- cleaned the bathroom thoroughly
- carried the cordless thingy upstairs to do the floors
- sent various emails
- answered the door to the postman twice, at 8.30 and 12.00: both times it was just more stuff for DH
I have been trying to take regular breaks from the computer screen, so will go and do a bit more Flying now and get lunch. It's a nice cloudy day today which means that I can work at my desk all afternoon, without being blinded by the sun - lovely as it is, the sunshine is most frustrating, and even the thermal curtain lining is not enough to stop me getting migraines. I shall have to investigate whether a blind could be fitted behind the curtains to help.
Good luck with the appeal, pigpen.

Three of the four have said they would love to have the photos - so I have packaged them up ready to send on.
I've also gone through the photos that I'm keeping and put them in (roughly) date order. They may now need another cull - but not today.

Evening all,
Is it only Monday evening?! Tiring day at work, had to address a safeguarding issue that one of our vulnerable students shared with me - never nice. Hugged my kids extra tight when I got home.
1xWM done and over the airer, packed lunches made, poo picked and general waste bin put out. I hoovered the kitchen and utility floors before work, and dealt with some paperwork.
Dropped some eggs and a birthday present off at my friends and had a cuppa - we’d both had negative tests at work today and both feeling really lonely so we needed it. Felt better for it.
I’ve also chomped a big frog and booked DD an eye test for tomorrow; really should have done it much sooner but shan’t beat self up for not being perfect!
An early night with my book beckons. Sleep well all xx

Not the list I'd planned, but fairly productive after a slow start, woke up with a very sore throat and headache.
- finished writing pay claim and summary for student, emailed it
- suddenly had a load of emails, at last the professional body have given us new assessment guidelines. Upshot is I have a 31 and a 2 page document to read carefully as there are quite a few changes, but ultimately I will set myself up to assess remotely for a while. Several emails between myself and my manager, also booked an 'update' to the webinar I did last month on remote assessments to talk us through the new regs. Quite excited but a little anxious as I hadn't expected much to change.
- postman came bearing a letter for me to book my jab. Web site was pretty busy; I picked my dates/times for 1st and 2nd jab, location and had just filled in my contact details - clicked 'submit' and it said that date or time no longer available, please pick another! did it again super quickly and succeeded, so now being jabbed a week on Saturday and the end of May.
- Mr N did about a level 1 in the kitchen while I was doing all the computer stuff
- went for a walk, my notParkRun route and yes, I can walk it almost as fast as I run it...... however on the way we posted a letter then dropped off a riding coat Mr N had re-homed via local FB so that counts as today's declutter.
- completed the Mr T c&c order for tomorrow and booked the next one
- compiled a letter officially postponing the big holiday 7 of us had planned for Mr N's 70th in August. We all agreed that it is just too soon to fly (S Africa) - we are all in the older age range for the type of trip it is, so our places would be better going to less risky people. A shame, but relieved we all had the same view.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.9
