First of all hugs and lots of love to everyone
Morning all, woke up at 7ish so got up - mainly because the cats were pestering me and I didn't want them to disturb Dave (he sleeps in till 10am Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays). So after feeding the cats, I folded up the washing that had been drying overnight on my indoor whirly gig 😀
After looking up whether I can count ironing as body magic I then got the ironing board out and did almost an hours worth of ironing. I'm now shattered and my arm is starting to hurt..darn!!Shall do a towel/tea towel wash load before bed tonight, so I can hang up overnight to dry.
Not much more really going to be done today, have a Tesco's delivery so will have to put that away later. Then I shall make the burgers for tea.. Exciting eh? Packing can be restarted tomorrow.Mortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️

EVERYTHING HURTS!!!! .. I have 1 wall left to paint.. OH has moved the drawers so I can get to it.
Dot is being very Dot-like today..
Halp.. Brick fire place.. currently painted silver.. it is in a corner.. yes, it's weird.. the wall to the left is very light grey with silver glitter and the wall to the right is dusky rose pink with silver glitter.. Do I re-silver the fireplace (hammerite!).. OR .. do I use the dark rose pink metallic ? and make it a BIG feature.. there is a black stove style electric fire in the opening.. I will get a pic or 5 shortly.
Shopping to collect at 2-4.. It is ALL pack up bits, the picker probably thinks we have a huge snack problem haha.. Next week is proper shopping day, OH gets paid 80% of his pittance and I need to fill the freezer, the fridge and the cats.. thankfully I have enough tins to see us through it is fresh stuff I struggle to keep up with.. we use 3-4 loaves a day and around 6-8L milk.. plus a full cucumber, half a lettuce and lots of fruit! I would love to win a competition for a years supply of bread.. or fruit.. lmao!
School stuff.. Boss Squeak to finish her project, Find everyones shoes.. Pixie has new ones, Squeak got new in January, Dot didn't need any and neither does Twinkle.. these 2 barely grow!
Cardigans delivery is Monday so they will make do with cold wrists on Monday.. Dot takes hers off the second she gets to school but the other 2 have sleeves 2 inches up their arms.. OH's mum bought them bigger ones.. I bought the shoes, figured they were more important than cardigans.
Coats all washed and clean.bags need finding and PE kits restocking.Wash out lunch bags and bottles again to freshen them up.
OH needs to unblck the bathroom loo and deal with cat loo's .. and not-cat-loo's.. Hazel been at it again in the bathroom!DW x 2WM x lotsTD will be on too.. I've been waiting for a nice day to get it all washed and hung out but it is freezing and damp out.Painting for me.. It will all be finished today so I can have tomorrow off and OH can sort the bedroom door and I will do the carpet when I hurt less! I need to get a new light fitting and I am tempted to get a black curtain pole.. to pull in the bed frame and fire.. and I want a taaaaaall mirror so she can see her whole 148cm self in it!
..... Maybe another cuppa first....
Love, hugs, hot cuppas, biscuits, new feather dusters and positive thoughts for our absent members.. and our angel members.. and our present and reporting for duty members..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)7 -

Afternoon (only just!) all.
Enormous, gentle (((hugs))) to Jazee, asb, mumof3, dancemum, round, Fayolle, Narc0 and anyone else who needs one. Times are tough enough for everyone atm without having to deal with other troubles.
Delighted to hear that Layla is doing so well, HB
Sorry to have been MIA most of the week. I have kept the house tidy and superficially clean, but today I decided I ought to clean the LR, including removing the sofa cushions to vacuum down the cracks. If anybody thinks I'm a super-conscientious Flylady, think again. Down the side of the seat cushions on the small sofa (which is only ever used as seating for guests and as one wall of Rosie's favourite nest) I found a Christmas gift tag labelled from DD to DS2. The last time those two were together in our LR room was at the end of December 2019- though of course it could be even older!
I have done so much hoovering that I have used up all the juice in the cordless machine, so I've had to come on here to fill the time while it rechargesFortunately (???) I have a long list of things to do at my computer, but unfortunately I am still very tired after a full week of my vol work, and I'd really rather go back to sleep. I think the LR windows will have to wait until tomorrow. Perhaps we'd better have an early-ish lunch.

Heartfelt (((hugs))) to everyone experienceing the pains of isolation, overwork, tiredness, financial worries and generally stressed by life. I'm so sorry to hear about your family losses, Jazee.Belovéd appears to have sorted out the problem we've had with the dishwasher that just keeps getting worse. He also emptied all the dirties out of it (it was crammed full) and washed them by hand while I was walking the dog this morning, so I heart him today even more than I normally do. Bacon, tomato and mayo sarnies made and scoffed, trundlers for putting under the dishwasher sourced from Screwfix while I made them and he's walking the dog round there to pick them up this afternoon. That way the next time there's a problem it will be much easier to resolve it. There's always a next time.Despite thinking I needed not to deal with photos today I'm back to it because after months of nibbling at the edges of them mountain of them I have at last worked out how I want to have them organised once and for all. I'm 64. This is my entire life's collection of photographs and memories and getting myself into the headspace were I've been able to face dealing with them as well as finding a practical solution has taken far, far longer than I thought it ever could but I now understand why it's been so complicated. In the meantime there is a vast amount of decluttering going on in the house and these two things are very intricately linked, so it's no wonder it's been so time-consuming and difficult. There will be a mountain of stuff going on Gumtree over the next few weeks. Letting go. It's all about Letting Go.So, 243 photos today, bringing the total so far to 1066 ditched.Better is good enough.8

Hello
Lots of hugs to you all xx The day to day irritants are becoming difficult all round, and the big things are getting to seem impossible and relentless.
DD is at work, after I spent part of the night sitting with her trying to chase her demons away so that she could get some sleep. DH is dismantling the small bedroom with a view to getting it replastered. I have been to the allotment for a couple of hours in a half hearted attempt to clear some weeds so that it is usable.
I need to do some dailies now before going to pick up DD - wultd, HHI, and maybe a s&s of the bathroom.

ASB you are so right about putting pressure on yourself, thats exactly what I am doing. In fact I have just been out on the bike and was thinking about distances and average speeds instead of just enjoying it.
Let's all try and take care of ourselves a little, lots of love to everyone having a tough time, better days are hopefully around the corner.
Didnt get up until 9am, tidied up, 1hr 45 mins out on the bike, DW emptied, WM on. Big pile of clean washing to put away, will set the airer up in my office when WM finishes. Zoom meeting for voluntary stuff tonight. Tea is going to be lasagne out of the freezer.
Pigpen well done on the decorating!
