Morning all,
Hugs and energy vibes where needed, it sounds like a lot of us need it. YL - it's entirely normal nowadays it seems, I can't remember a time I wasn't shattered.
Piggers your post was lovely, it sounds like it will do wonders for you both, well done on reaching that decision x
TGI Friday. Once work is done today I intend to slob in front of the TV and have an early night, might even go up at 7 with the children! I really should wash my hair but as it's Friday and I CBA I'll dry shampoo it instead... again 🤣
WM on and to hang out before work. Bank accounts need checking too. Have fab days all x11 -
Morning all
Pigpen if anyone can homeschool you can. I have so much admiration. DS missed most of secondary school because of his health and rather than try to tie him to the kitchen table with a maths book we went out and did stuff, museums, swimming, nature walks, cycling in our local forest park. Even a trip to the supermarket can be made educational, I remember one afternoon learning about where food came from. He was happy and completed an apprenticeship which led on to other things.
I need to do exactly 4.25 hours paid stuff to make up my 35 hours for the week (not that I am calculating it exactly). Pigpen and ASB are right I need to take more time out and be less hard on myself. I only have 3 people who work for me but they are all finding it hard at the moment with lockdown and I feel way too responsible for keeping them happy, but that's me!!
So today will be 4.25 hours paid stuff, then a walk somewhere for some me time, I will drop off my nephew's birthday card on the way. Like ASB I intend to slob out once all this done, I need sleep. Washing is over the airer, house is reasonably tidy, I can fly a little tomorrow.
Happy Fridays all x10 -
Morning xx
Just sticking my head round the door to wish you all a happy Friyay 🥳🥳
Bed is made. Birds will be fed. This week has been endless but I can smell the weekend woot woot.
Group hug to keep everyone going. Grabbing some of Pigger's positivity as I head out.
Love you guys

Morning folks, sorry I've not contributed much this week. Was feeling exhausted at the start of the week due to my covid jab on Sunday and still feeling a bit flat. That said I am determined to pull myself out of it today. Been keeping on top of the basics only this week however I did manage to encourage OH to do some decluttering. He has refused to get rid of anything for years but last week he bought some new tops and had no room for them in his wardrobe. He got rid of alot of old stuff that didn't fit or that he doesn't need anymore (change of jobs) and numerous random cables and bits and bobs that he'd kept just in case. We are selling some things on gumtree. We cleaned and hoovered out his wardrobe too but still so bits to do.
My plan for today is:
Load of laundry on and hung to dry inside (too cold out)
Bathroom quick clean
Kitchen tidy plus worktops. May steam mop the floor.
Pantry reorganise and tidy.
Clean front and back doors

I think as much as anything it's the time of year for feeling tired. Easter seems a long way off, and it's cold and grey. Besides which, YL, you're definitely trying to overdo it with hours like that. (((Hugs)))(((Hugs))) Dancemum. It must be as tough for you as it is for him at the moment. I hope things settle down for him soon.I found two more lots of photographs that needed to be inserted in the finished albums. I couldn't face shifting all of them up to fit them in so they were both pruned again. I thought I'd 'curated' them to be as minimal as possible, but it turns out - not so. So, six more photographs initially and the another 19 that I've cheated and said will do for tomorrow and Sunday. I need a couple of days off from sorting photos, yesterday was a bit overwhelming. I tend not to think about the past very much any more in a nostalgic and sentimentalised sort of way any more, so it was a bit of a facer reliving some of those memories. All good, but still.91 more bits of paper, all from the bottom drawer of the filing cabinet. I may get to the point where there are more empty files than 'useful stuff' but I'm not there yet. Instead of doing this drawer from front to back I'm picking out the fatest files and doing them first. There's a lot more to go but it's 552 bits of paper so far and I thought it had already been pruned rather thoroughly last year. Just goes to show how attached I am to piles of rubbish, and how straightforward it is when in the right mindset.I've also sorted three spaces that have been irritating me each time I've had reason to look inside them over the past couple of days, combined a couple of files after the cat broke one jumping on it, and am rehoming a small pile of gibble to various good causes. Nibbling away at the underlying stuffed clutter is helping.Layla's blood test came through - even better than expected. She is now off steroids, having been on a massive dose for six months and spent as long tapering it off. Fingers crossed for the final check on 6th April and then she can be free of all of it. The vet's have been marvellous and have turned her around; if she hadn't had the pre-op bloods done last April she'd have died fairly soon afterwards. They really have worked a miracle and I'm very grateful to them all.Better is good enough.10

Hi all
Well I ended up doing 2 hours over at the paid stuff but it was worth it, I wrote out a to-do list for next week and tidied my desk and papers before I finished. Then I delivered my nephews birthday card and took myself off to our local Forestry Commission site and walked. I followed a trail into the forest where there wasnt a soul about and sat on a bench in complete and utter silence. It was heaven and gave me such a boost.
Home to take washing off airer and put it through the tumbler then make a fish pie for tea. Feet up now, might treat myself to a glass of wine.12 -
