After my post last night I slinked myself off to bed.. and while laid there, freezing.. I decided I was going to start decorating Moomins bedroom today.. So I got up, got dressed in some very stylish see through leggings and a vest top.. and my BIGGEST knickers haha.. I have done 3 walls and including the paintwork I wasn't goin to do.. it looked vile.. and now it looks beautiful. Tomorrow I need to paint the 4th wall, touch up the bits on the ceiling and painte the door frame and hang the lights. The curtains can go back up tomorrow and I can rip up the carpet.. THEN I get to fit the new one. I am very much looking forward to getting it finished, the pink is gorgeous and the perfect colour I wanted.. When I've done her room OH needs to put on the door.
I have one cat with a grey paw, one cat with pink whiskers ... and one which has become a pink panther after stepping in the tin of paint.. They are idiots!
DW on.. I need to run it again because we have no clean plates.
3 carriers of food sent to my baby sister.. its a good job I just stocked up in basics and I love her!!

Hugs and strength to everyone this weekend. If you haven't already watched 'Mindful Escapes' (4 half-hour videos of relaxing nature) then do so, just Google it. But beware HB and those who like travel/wildlife holidays, it will get you thinking. However it is mindfulness so we just thought "how lucky we are to have seen some of these scenes/creatures" rather than "ooh where's that, can we go there next?" and just drifted calmly.
I'm hoping for a bit of Weekend Willie helping with flying, although Mr N is a pretty good substitute.
Zoom student session this morning.
Posted eb0y sale this afternoon, stopped for walk on the way home (village PO shut for 3 weeks so have to drive 4 miles to next one anyway).
Sorted photos. Have now culled down so can start making photobook. High hopes of it being ordered by the end of the weekend so at least I can tell Mum her present is in the post. That has been a frog for well over a year.
Sorry that's all I have done. Oh, ordered various household items on Amazin which will make life clearer (over-door hooks for office) /tidier (sticky back plastic for dilapidated shelves) /safer (oven gloves without holes). And sent/answered endless emails, many about assessment materials. yawn.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.14 -
Morning all.Yesterday we had our third family bereavement in as many months and haven't even had the second funeral yet, and this morning I have woken up to the news that an old friend has died.
While I'd like the world to go away for a while I am going to get out in the countryside with the dogs and do things I enjoy today. Flying will be minimal although I do need to put fresh covers on the sofas as Poppet was sick on one last night.Spend less now, work less later.12 -
Morning all
Fell of the flying wagon as the week progressed, so busy with the paid stuff and with DS2 going back to uni yesterday I did lots of laundry to get his towels, bedding, clothes all clean for him to take back. He cleaned his room before he went, I'll re-hoover it today. He also relocated a 2 drawer unit which was in my dining room / work office to his room as he needed a surface for his 3D printer (my idea). Result is I have space in DR but have lost a surface and all the old photos were in one of the huge drawers, they are now in the washing basket. Will find a box and move into the LR sorting area until I get to those.
Did well last week and all the stuff I listed to give away went, not many left so will look at listing some more this weekend.
Enjoy your weekend if you have kids returning to school on Monday, I hope it goes well and that uniform and shoes fit.
Hugs to those with poorly pets, it is so expensive to get veterinary care.
Pigpen well done on the decorating and investigating all the options for squeak.
Hugs to anybody feeling tired and anxious, it has been a long year and I think it is really taking its toll on people. Hoping those vaccinated this week are resting and building antibodies.
Weekend plans are to get the house as straight as possible; working FT makes it tough to fly during the week sometimes.

Oh and I need to make a Mr Blobby birthday cake for him.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair12 -
Oh @Jazee I'm so sorry to read that. Enjoy your walk and prioritise YOU today xx
I too have declared a day of self care. I feel close to the edge of burnout, I am so tired each night that the only time I get to myself is the hour or so between the children falling asleep and me falling asleep. I am putting a lot of pressure on myself, so today it really doesn't matter if the kids play minecraft / watch TV more than they should, I need TIME just upstairs with my book and my comfies on. The floors haven't been mopped in weeks so another day really won't hurt. A chicken wee'd on my floor this morning and I have cleaned that up, in my defence 🤣
Take time for yourselves ladies today xx
ETA has anyone heard from @Dizzy_Imp? I remember her mum was unwell xx11 -
Morning all, hugs to those that need/want one.
Trying to keep on top of the house is getting me down, I'm not going to lie, I've felt like this for months now since I've been more poorly physically and my nana passed away. I've definitely hit a wall and feeling very low most of the time. The only Time I feel like me is at work. I've been trying to spend more time to spend quality time with the kids. Because since we moved here (we were in a 2 bed flat and now in a 5 bed 2 bath house) I've never kept fully on top of it.
I think I need to focus on daily stuff and then organising one area of the house at a time. I hope that that will mean I have more time for the kids and come Sept when they are all at school full time I'll be able to get everything done while they are at school bar tidying up after dinner and just generally be in a better routine.
I'm at work today and tomorrow and Monday afternoon. so I'll concentrate on hot spots the next 2 days. My first shift in charge today. After completing my refresher training (Done the same role before in another job) bit nervous but we are dressing up and doing a Welsh afternoon for them so it will be fun also.
Anyway this week my plan is
Hot spots
Organise ALL the toys
Deep clean car
And Dailies
Also been toying with the idea of getting a dishwasher .. and I'm going to get the tumble fixed at the end of the month
Things are harder here atm as oh has severe pain in his chest they said it was ligaments but he had a ct scan yesterday so hopefully we will know more soon. So he's not able to do much at the moment so it's all on me .. with the help of the kids.. apart from when I ask eldest to do something recently he's been saying yeah I will soon or later and it doesn't get done and tbh that's been peeing me off... he's 12 .. won't even make his bed .. says why should I when I'm just getting back into it again... God give me strength !

Excellent work Piggers
Jazee (Hugs)
so pleased some some of you are taking time out for you. Had a chat with my friend who's dad is really ill and she was so frazzled she kept losing track of her topic.
I have washing to go out, it will dry as the humidity is so low.
Could do with hitting at least one list from this week - I have done nowt!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Morning xx
Hugs to all xx
I've had a lie in (til 8.15) had two brews, chosen my horses for the ITV7 this afternoon, and had text conversations with two friends. Oh, and caught up with my emails and FB. I was trying to motivate myself to get dressed and do something but I'm joining asb for the day instead. I've had a full on four days at work - one left us, one has been covering another role for Annual Leave and that leaves me to cover the entire county. Times flies and it's not physically tiring, but I am mentally and emotionally drained. And when I'm tired, I eat junk...which makes me tireder. But I only spat my dummy out once when the therapists said they were overwhelmed and going to give me some of their work.....no you are not because this is me drowning already!!! It seems that being tired and being stressed both aggravate my dodgy eye. Especially stress! Ommmmmmmm.
I'm sending Weekend Willi to help Narc0 and I haven't seen Wandering Willi for weeks - probably off exploring Mars with the new gadget that landed there (she likes to travel) - so I'm home alone with Sweetie and going to go with the flow today.
Thank you asb
