Despite still being closed we still have The Money Savers Arms as a quick link at the bottom of the page. Having seen that I thought maybe it had reopened, sadly not. The silence is deafening.

MSE Towers have been able to create a whole new board for themselves but are not in a position to re-open the boards that were closed last year.6

Nope. I was there and left as the censorship was as ludicrous there as it was here.NeilCr said:
The offshoot from the MoneySaver Arms started by Cornucopia and discussing quite a few of the same sorts of issues (including politics) is trucking along well. Not a huge number of members but not invitation only. Well moderated and from what I can tell not too much intervention needed in the discussions.tghe-retford said:One of the UK's biggest discussion forums is to close their equivalent of the MoneySavers Arms and discussion forums this week. For the exact same reasons that the moderators here have closed the relevant forums. I know of another smaller forum that is closing at the end of the month because of the ever increasing moderation demands on their time due to political discussion. As a result, they've thrown in the towel.
It ain't coming back. No website (bar a few fringe invitation only, small member number forums) wants to moderate such topics and the big social media websites with their resources, AI and workload find it all a headache as well that they'd rather do without (hence the mass suspensions, shadowbanning and ever increasing policies).

Nope. You can be as 'sure' as you like, but I haven't posted there since I asked Cornucopia to remove me from the membership list after a particularly ludicrous censorship decision. (I have never had another username and won't be doing that now.)Apintplease said:

Do you still pop over to have a cheeky read though? How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)0 -

I am very happy to say that for a while now I have been enjoying posting on a site which, like this, has forum space for subjects unrelated to the main site "purpose", like politics. People can strongly disagree and talk frankly including - horror of horrors - the taking of the !!!!!!. As far as I can ascertain, nobody has died or even been slightly injured by posts which on here would result in claims of "hurt" or "offence" and the gnashing of teeth. The forthcoming elections and Tory sleaze have been very popular boards. Pity we can't mention them here. Oops, I just did 😳.0
