In general, would you say a garage or a conservatory increase a houses value?

My thoughts exactly. To be honest, a conservatory, unless it's a really well done one, is a big turn off to me.Racky_Roo said:
Me too, hate them. I always think I'd want to take them down and the cost involved. Garage for me every time, even if it couldn't fit a normal sized car in, they're handy for storageparkingadvice1212 said:Didn't consider any houses with a conservatory0 -
The house we bought just over a year ago has both a garage and a conservatory. The garage was originally a double and the previous owners had the ‘half’ connected to the house converted into an office, we’re currently using it as a toy room/additional spare room.
As for the conservatory, it’s old, leaks and some of the wood is rotting, it’s being taken down next month and not being replaced with another one. In the 14 months I’ve lived here, I’ve sat in it twice although it came into its own a year ago when it became my temporary kitchen for several weeks 🙂0 -
A garage preferably double and integral would be a definite plus, conservatories are okay provided they're top notch quality but wouldn't pay extra to get a house with one. Had a south facing conservatory on a house which even with blinds was freezing in winter and boiling in summer, the main thing I used it for was servicing my bikes as the all round light made seeing what I was doing much easier.0
