In general, would you say a garage or a conservatory increase a houses value?

Garage yes definitely. Conservatory maybe but its just more about attraction and depends on how well its been done. Our conservatory is too cold in the winter and too hot in the summer so pretty useless room that takes up a lot of garden space.4

I’d say a garage with parking in front of it is more important to me than a conservatory, so may well be worth more (to me).0

Yes. But relative to cost? Maybe not. I suspect a garage would - doesn't cost much to build, but people like to have them and, if attached, get unreasonably excited about converting them (one reason newbuilds often include integrated garages useless for parking cars)
Conservatory... not everyone would use that space and they can look a bit cheap if not done properly. Doubt they are as attractive.2

Garage for me. I'm moving to a bungalow with only a tiny shed, just wondering where I'm going to put all the things I don't want in the house.£216 saved 24 October 20141

            Didn't consider any houses with a conservatory0

Garage, although many people seem to convert them when attached.2024 wins: *must start comping again!*0

Me too, hate them. I always think I'd want to take them down and the cost involved. Garage for me every time, even if it couldn't fit a normal sized car in, they're handy for storageparkingadvice1212 said:Didn't consider any houses with a conservatory0

Never look at houses without garage, preferably a double garage.0

Garage, it has more potential for conversion and can be used all year round. I think orangeries are more popular/fashionable than conservatories currently, and offer the benefits of a conservatory with fewer of the downsides.2

So much more versatile.
