FINALLY cleared the patio - with my new broom handle
, but can't mow the lawn, because the mower needs a new blade, MrC ordered one at the weekend, which the suppliers decided not to dispatch??? Anyway, new order made with a different company, so by the weekend, I should be able to sit and admire the back garden without feeling there's something urgent to do.

Chiglepig, I've just read up to page 5 of your diary, it's brilliant
I'd never thought that downloading the Nectar app would be so useful, I could do that. And I'm just at the stage where your OH has been converted to mse ways and asked for a job list for the next day. Wonderful stuff! Just pressing the subscribe button.

Thank you @Karmacat ! I got the Nectar intel' from @South_coast
. I've pretty much decided to leave the mortgage OPs as they are (once a month by DD), but keeping the diary keeps me more money-mindful, and I've learned enough to diversify into erly retirement planning.

Nice going
I'm at a different stage, of course, and I came to it in my 40s, but saving was always instinctive - the last time I moved to a larger house, the price uplift was about 15%, and I paid it in cash rather than extend the mortgage. Staying mindful of the day to day situation is *so* helpful.

@Poppycat - you don't think we were making Trigger's broom jokes all week?! The original philosophical version is Theseus's Ship (curtesy of the the Philosophers' Arms podcast), but I prefer Trigger's broom!

I brought a new broom a few weeks ago. I tried joking to my boys about it at the time but it went over their heads.

Morning all.Well my MRI was done, now I just have to wait for the consultant to call me in with the results.Poor doggo is in the wars - he came back from a walk yesterday with something embedded in his paw, so there will be a trip to the vet today - I hope. Not much else to report, new SIPP is already rising (£1.42
), as is the S&S ISA (hope nothing shocking comes out of the G7
).

Morning All.It's a two day working week for me this week (today and Friday), I have a haircut booked for Weds - first one in eleven months, and I'm going to have a look at which local RHS partner gardens are at their best locally.Doggo had a 2cm thorn in his paw
but let the vet take it out without sedation, which the vet said was very brave
. That wsa £74, so I won't get anything back from insurance, but he's worth it.
