Up until the last few days I wasn't interested in a robovac, now I am doing research and putting one on my wish list, I know it will be a long time in my future before I feel I can get one but our house would benefit especially if it also mops. I am now dreaming of each morning come down to pristine floors 🤣Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

MissMoneyManager said:Thanks all for the input on robovacs, I can use the money saved on the cleaner to purchase one and will still be saving so I'm off to do some research! OH said he doesn't mind doing the hoovering but he also says he enjoys cleaning windows and i'm yet to see any evidance of that
Fingers crossed no window replacement necessary!
https://www.amazon.co.uk/KYVOL-Cybovac-Connected-Cleaner-Charging/dp/B08DHZ5DD9 but there are so many different versions and brands, you'll be spoilt for choice. I haven't connected it to the wifi yet as I like to make sure the cats bowls and any wires are out of the way so I always start it manually.

We bought a Roborock S5. I don't use it ona timer overnight though - but I'm not the last to go to bed and I wouldn't trust others to make sure there were no stray wires or Lego pieces left around.... I set it off often using my phone, but the others just do it manually It does, however, always send me a message on my phone to say it has finished -regardless of how it was startedI am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £208

Goodness, I'd never even considered a robovac!
Although we've always lived in houses with lots of stairs, so...
Here it could do living room/kitchen/bathroom - and then would fall down the stairs. Or it could do building site (future kitchen), and then fall down some more stairs
Not sure it's worth the bother for us!
As soon as they invent one that can go up and down stairs though, I'm there

Ours doesn't fall down stairs - it has sensors that there is a cliff nearby
it can do all downstairs except office and family room as there is a high (trippable on) threshold so it has to be lifted over. Then carried up to middle floor and then carried to top floor. Still an absolute timesaving legend and means our floors now usually look relatively clean - I despise vacuuming with a passion - and mopping even more so!

Well, it's the end of the month, so I should reflect and plan a bit. But it's almost the weekend, and a bank holiday, so perhaps I'll dream about Premium Bonds instead!Inspite of gradual lockdown easing and two low pay months for Mr Chigle before his TP kicks in, we are still saving a significant amount each month and OP-ing the mortgage. This is comforting because it confirms that the amount we really need coming in is significantly less than I used to think. Really need to post on Fireside Chat!DD has not only had her work hours doubled, she also has an interview for a third job today
. And her current boss knows and has worked for the potential third job and offered a good reference.
After a whole week of being screened out of EVERY Nectar Canvas survey - I think the site was being buggy, some just stopped connecting, one as I've already said, appeared in French, I completed five in a row today! Although, one about preparing for a new pet was so badly constructed, the academic in me gave it a 38% and suggested resubmitting for credit. One question was completely unanswerable, so I ticked any old box just to get to the next page!

So, despite our income being £300 lower than last month, which was £1050 lower than the month before, our current account balance rose by £120 over April. I'm really plesed with that and credit all of your MSE ways rubbing off on me and DH (whose bargin of the week was a Friday night treat for DD - a yellow sticker four-pack of San Miguel, with £1.75 off just because it was held together with sticky tape!). He was also very pleased with the weekly shop because he stocked up on store cupboard things that I only buy when they are on offer, and saved £9.00! He was also 45 mins faster than last week!In addition to the above, our mortgage OP has stayed the same, as have our contributions to savings. Currrently thinking about opening a sipp - I could buy AVCs in TP, but I don't like what I hear about Prudential, so I think I would like more control, but still need to do more research. It would be very small, because I have the security of 22 years in TP already, but I'm thinking about maximising flexibility. Now if only the weather would warm up and we could turn the heating off!2014 starting mortgage £165,0002015 second charge £20,000 - Jan 2021 paid off in fullCurrent outstanding balance - £115,8565
