Small clubs are definitely the way to go for comedy our local club probably seats 100 (pre-covid), but they get to know one another VERY well! - I don't 'get' venues like the O2. I saw Tim Minchin in a small (but not tiny theatre), that was brilliant, and five or six years later in a larger theatre doing more of a music gig, that also worked, but my biggest comedy regret was that I missed him in the early 2000s doing a very tiny gig in a school theatre. Of the last few years, my favourites have been the late,great Jeremy Hardy - who spent most of the gig talking to my DD who was the only person in the audience under 40! Nina Conti, fabulous every time, and Omid Djalili, who we have tickets for locally - when ever it happens! And Nick Helm who is scary as hell if you're in the front row and didn't know him as a student.

Thanks @Porridgecat, it's feeling so much better already.It took the best part of four hours, but Mr Chiggle got us tickets for Under Milk Wood with Michael Sheen at the National in July
- he has great plans for the day, but they are most definitely NOT very MSE
.
Next OP day is Wednesday, so I will be doing a bit of an audit to see where we are and review the balance of savings and OPs (as well as accounting for Mr C's new found freedom after his second vacc!)2014 starting mortgage £165,0002015 second charge £20,000 - Jan 2021 paid off in fullCurrent outstanding balance - £115,8563 -

Right, I'm eyeing up our appliances and wondering what next? A couple of weeks ago, the lights in the soffit along the back of the house started flahing (needs a new transformer we think, which DH could do, but is completely inaccessible), yesterday a radiator seal started leaking, this afternoon, the top oven/microwave went POP! The dishwasher is working but has it's moments, and vaccy the robot vaccum had a funny five minutes yesterday too. Morning All.DH mangaged the shopping, but it took over two and a half hours (I do it in 65mins door to door), and claims he will probably need to go back mid-week. I've got so used to doing all the 'going outside' stuff since March 2020, I am struggling to let it go, but the state of the cauliflower he bought suggests practice is needed, he's forgotten my 'no substitutions' rule.It's a very short week for me this week, just today and Wednesday to work but I'm struggling to find the energy and motivation to get started. So many of my friends and colleagues are feeling the same, the last year has been relentless, how frontline NHS are feeling I can begin to imagine.Anyway, back to core business, finances for the week;
- I set up an NW regular saver over the weekend, 1% interest plus quarterly prize draw. I'm not sure how that one passed me by before.
- Mr Chigle bought me a new ariel for my radio instead of a new radio (progress for him).
- Retractable washing line found new in box at the back of the garage of doom (yes, we don't just have a cupboard of doom, we have a whole garage!) and installed, so no need to buy a new one.
To do:- Cancel gym (didn't get round to it last week).
- Gather all of the loose change around the house - have a feeling there are tens of pounds even though we haven't spent cash in over a year.
- Make sure DH has actually filled in his TP forms (eye roll).
- Contact power company to find out why we are still getting estimated bills, three months after having a smart metre fitted.

Doggo was booked in for a groom this morning. Lucky thing has been done every eight weeks through all but first lock down (his groomer does mainly working dogs so was considered a welfare service rather than a cosmetic one), I haven't had a haircut since last July. While we waited for him to be done, MrChigle and I had a pub lunch - may be wrong, but I think that was the first since Christmas 2019! The sun shone and we had a very friendly robin for companyMore small house woes, the kitchen window, which has been difficult to open for the last two years, is now impossible to shut (good thing we are working from home). And the oven/microwave is proving difficult to get fixed because no one 'does' the brand any more. If we can't get it fixed, we will need to replace both ovens
.
Anyway, mortgage payment and OP day tomorrow (fancy getting so excited about paying money out!), and payday on Thursday.2014 starting mortgage £165,0002015 second charge £20,000 - Jan 2021 paid off in fullCurrent outstanding balance - £115,8564
