ARVO nearly quadrupled my DD and wont talk to me
Recently received an email from arvo energy who provide both my gas and electricity. I pay £88 a month DD . They NOW say I owe nearly £600. What they dont make clear is do I actually owe them this or is it predicted DEBIT usage based over my winter usage. I cant understand how it can be a debt. My usual arguement with them when they try this (usually only a few quid)is during the warmer weather my usage drops right off so over 12 months in balances out. They stated they will put my direct debit up to £273 per month from £88. They gave me less than 10 days notice of the increase. They have now taken £273 which has pushed me overdrawn. You cant call them due to the covid excuse so email is only option. I have emailed them twice with no reply. My next D/D with them is end of March. Over last several years my bills are never more than £100 a month DD.
Feel they are just taking the P*** now . I was going to cancel my direct debit until they explained themselves to me but I advised not to as it can affect credit history or result in legal letters.
Any help or advice what I can do to get to the bottom of this. I cant afford another £270 DD next month.

So if you have the readings have you checked the calculations and previous bills to see if you are in debit by the £600 they say you are?All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.1 -
HI Elsien I have looked ay my bills and statements and its totally confusing. I Dont think its possible for avro to make it more complicated. I was going to upload shots of my latest bill but cant edit out the important personal details as they are saved PDF's

These all seem like estimated reads according to what you've copied and pasted. You're saying you are providing meter reads every month, what are the january meter reads you took compared with what you see on the bills, do they seem right?1

I see lots of E's
Give AVRO your own meter readingsNever pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill1 -
Thats all my meter readings tab is showing Seems like my readings havent been added ? The 9 and 10 digit numbers are the meter ser numbers Seems like I have 2 different meter ser numbers 6 months apart for electricity ?16/02/21 Electric 6797 19L202778027/09/20 Electric 5414 K95G48454GasDATE TYPE READING METER SERIAL NUMBER16/02/21 Gas 2717 E6S1254022196127/09/20 Gas 1676 E6S12540221961

The way you've presented the data isn't very clear. It would be better to get the pdfs and use a screen shot applications (like sharex) to cut your personal data out and then upload the pic of the bill.
You need to clarify if the bills are based on estimated or actual readings. It looks like they are all estimated as you're including an E on them. If you say you've been submitting real meter readings, what are they? what is the meter saying today? do the numbers match up?
According to what you've supplied you're using approx £260 of elec + gas a month. So i'm not surprised you're going into debit as a DD of £88 is not going to cover even one. It doesn't matter if your gas usage plummets in the summer months, your electricity use alone is still much higher than the DD
Your actual tariffs are very good and well priced, so you don't need to worry about that.
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO
LOOK AT THE LAST 5 BILLS IN DETAIL
are they based on estimates?
Check the serial numbers of the meters on these bills and check your serial number on the meter itself. Which is the real one. From your last post it looks like they are mixing meters (assuming you haven't had a new meter in the mean time)
If you dont know how to do this, then you need to upload your bills on here and we can help you. PDF is mmuch better as then the formatting is correct (rather than a copy and paste botch) if you don't know how to do this, ask someone who does to help you.1 -
brilliant thank you for your help and advice will try and sort pdfs out. Confused me no end the bills. Cant understand what has changed this year for bills to be so high if thats correct. Only me in the house most of the time as my kids saty with me 10 days a month. And no I don tthink anyone has set up a cannabis farm in the loft lol
