My account has plummeted too, blinking dd’s 😖
My account looks sad today as well :)
Glad it's not just me then!  24 days and counting to pay day :D

Up early again today, already got laundry in the washing machine and tidied through the house.

I have a busy work day today and need to take pooch to the vets at lunch for his 6-monthly health check, annual boosters and a claw clip. These are all covered by the monthly pet plan I have for him so I don’t have to pay.  Hoping for another NSD but after a few days of not spending it may be tricky today.
PADs made, a few small DDs and I’ve sent £1 to CC7 too. No statement for that yet, probably another couple of days.
No sign of the rebate cheque either, but I’m sure I’ll spend it once it’s here. :D

Think it may be second cup of coffee time!

  • Turns out it's my 4th NSD for the month after all. Gonna have a pamper night tonight with hair mask, face mask and hopefully dye my eyebrows :D It's one of my least favourite jobs to do... But it saves me £20 a month in having it done at the salon so it's beneficial in the long run.

  • What an absolutely gorgeous morning! It makes me so happy when I wake up to blue skies and sunshine.  The birds are singing and I have already spotted 2 squirrels in the trees.

I have no plans again today, and food is planned and in the fridge so I shouldn't need to spend anything but again, I am not going to be too hasty in declaring as things could change.

PAD made this morning, just a little £1 to CC7, still no statement.  I had to provide gas and electric readings yesterday so expecting that bill either today or tomorrow and see whether we are square or not there. Think we were about -£40 last time which isn't too bad as we were coming out of winter.

I hope everyone is having a good week, can't believe it's Thursday already :)

  • Letter from the tax man received. Apparently the year before I had paid too little tax so it's not the full £102 I will get but it all seems very confusing. I am glad I'm not an accountant, my head would not cope at all!  Anyway, I will see what happens, it was only a bonus after all.

Forgot I need to go out later to vote, although that doesn't cost anything so at least I'm still looking at a NSD (fingers crossed)

Another early morning for me, but hurrah for Friday! I will be struggling to keep my eyes open when my friends are over tonight.

I checked my CC7 statement this morning and it's been generated so my PAD was £78 regular payment there, after the hefty over payments they might start to wonder what's happening. Although I'm sure no human will be checking my account.

Today will not be a NSD as we are getting takeout tonight, but it's my first frivolous spending of May so I'm fairly happy with that.

Time for my fortnightly finance update:
    • CC7 £7650
    • Total credit available £67,600 (11.3% utilised)
    • Bills account £181.13
    • Spends account £143.61
    • Car account £4156.63
    • Sealed Pot £1730.42
    • Debt free by xmas £6980.10
    • EF £300.28
    • CC7 overpayment fund £420
    • Gift cards £220
I'm feeling generally good about where my finances are. I still have 3 weeks to pay day but almost all the bills are paid, I have no big events planned and my remaining 'bills' to come out are just under £100 so there is spare in the account for PADding. I can honestly say the next update will be very bleak though!

Once CC7 is cleared I will use the overpayment fund to accumulate Mortgage overpayments and then pay chunks off as and when we can. I am sure we are allowed to overpay by 10% of the original loan amount per year so that's quite good and to be honest the fact that I can see the outstanding amount going up each day is spurring me on!

Very busy day ahead for me in terms of work and then a mad clean before friends arrive :D
Hope you all have a good Friday!

  • Forgot to mention, last night I downloaded some debt tracking charts recommended by @Keedie to colour in and keep me motivated so I spent some time sorting those out and I have put them under my desk pad in the home office so I can keep an eye on them.

For some reason I wasn't following your diary! But now I am, so I have plenty to catch up on!

I also seen that, but late for me now but maybe I can do a savings one instead!

I pay to have my eyebrows dyed so can you recommend doing them yourself? Is it foolproof?
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
