  • Good morning all :) I'm a bit later than usual as I have early calls on a Wednesday.  Nothing much happening today in terms of my finances, my PAD was the basic £5 to CC7 and there's nothing available to cash out anywhere today.

I have had £12 become available in Vinted so that's currently being sent to my bank account and should be there later today or maybe tomorrow. Just 29 days now, its starting to feel very real!

Hope you all have a good day!

  • Morning guys and gals. I've had a troublesome night's sleep with nightmares and arm flailing. So much so that I have whacked the nightstand and really hurt my hand... there's even blood :(

Today is not a NSD for me, we are going to the butchers to stock up on decent meat (it's getting poor at the supermarket these days) and I am at the hairdressers this afternoon.

In terms of finances, I've send £6 to the credit card this morning and I have nothing due from anywhere yet. It's been slow for studies for me on Prolific lately but I'm getting used to how it comes in waves :D

I've not seen the forecast for today, but it actually looks like there's some lovely blue sky out there, so I'm hoping we see some sunshine, that will brighten my day.

    Hope you're all OK

I agree about meat in the supermarkets. We used to buy meat from a local farm shop, but then I tired to become more MSE and buy it cheaper....I mean a chicken at the farm shop was £13 and this was about 4 years ago, where I could get one in supermarket for half that price. Then we had a butcher opened up in the village after being closed for a few years, and he was great as well, that sort of in between price. not really cheap but still better quality than the supermarkets and not quite as dear as the farm.  Then for some unknown reason, that has closed down again. We do try not to eat too much meat, but do like chicken, pork& turkey and it is such a good source of protein.   Hope you don't spend too much.

  • It’s not been too bad, £35 at the butchers and then £30 on my hair including a tip.

We are lucky that the butchers at the farm shop we use are really good quality home reared meats at really competitive prices.

It's nice to know where our food comes from and that it is well treated and we get to meet the cattle, sheep, pigs and chickens 😀

The cost of meat is completely lost on me as a non meat eater but it sounds expensive. We had a real mix of sun and downpours here today. Prolific has also been very slow for me over the last few days. Not long at all to go now LMD. Less than a month  :)
