  • So, Saturday is here already and we have a busy day. First, hubby has a routine scan with the hospital, so not a NSD and then we are going to the market to pick up some meat for dinner this evening.  I neglected to do any chores yesterday so I need to do those before heading to the gym.

Today's PAD was £4.70 between CC7 and the sealed pot. With the 1p and cash envelope challenges, my sealed pot will be very good this year and it's already at a healthy level 1/4 of the way in. Once my CC is clear and I have rebuilt the EF, any surveys will be going in the sealed pot as well as my daily PADs.

Hope you're all doing OK and have great days

That sounds like a good plan with the surveys. I was using mine for my PAD Pot and storing it up to chuck at the credit cards. But the surveys dried up and I got so tired doing lots of work for little pennies, as CC and Qmee kept screening me out. When I get rid of my freelance job, I'll have the time to get back to surveys and I can accumulate them again. Fingers crossed Prolific will take me off the waiting list by then too 🤞🏾.

Hope your husband's scan goes well even if it is only a routine one.

  • Good morning all. I am just about to go swimming to start my day off, I’m a bit early so sat in the car park for 5.

Today will be a NSD as we have visitors for dinner this evening and no plans before then. Today I sent £1 to the CC and I’m still really excited about getting this cleared. It feels like it’s all I can think about again… I know that didn’t result in a good place for me last time so I’m trying to be more aware of it and curbing the payments, just so I don’t leave myself short.

I know it’s getting too much when I’m trying to work out if I can actually clear by Aprils pay day instead of May. I’ve only just moved it to May so I know I’m kidding myself.

    Must. Stop. Obsessing.

Well, I will try my very best anyway

Since you have only just got it to May why not aim for only having something like 75% of the current May payment left at the end? That way you still have a target but will have made it one that will not leave you with problems by being short in the meantime?

Thanks @SusieT this is a really sensible way to look at it. I’ll have a look at the figures this afternoon and see where I am now and what 75% works out at.

  • Happy Monday everyone, the weekend went by far too quickly and I think that's because it was a really busy one.  I have been awake for a while this morning and have already managed to do a Prolific survey.

So, today my CC7 statement had been generated and I have sent the £500 overpayment I had saved in a Monzo pot over.  I had to set up the new payee from Monzo as I usually only send my payments from FD account... I really really hope I've got all the numbers the right way as it will take a while to show on my balance and now I'm nervous that I've made a random payment elsewhere!

Today will be a NSD for me, I don't have any plans until Friday actually so I may even get a run of them this week.  There's nothing available to cash out on Prolific at the moment but I have £18+ pending so that will be good once available, I will be keeping an eye on that (as well as CC7 balance haha)

Hope you all have a good day
