We used to always go to Lanzarote in January. It’s a nice time to go when everything feels so flat after Christmas. Which island are you going to?I’m packing Christmas away too today.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

We are off to Fuerteventura, we tend to alternate between there and Lanzarote. The others are too busy for us to be honest. I can’t wait to get away for some sun.Sun_Addict said:We used to always go to Lanzarote in January. It’s a nice time to go when everything feels so flat after Christmas. My cousin always goes to Fuerteventura he loves it. It’s the one island we haven’t tried, we definitely should. We weren’t keen on Gran Canaria, Tenerife is ok but Lanzarote is our favourite. We next go in April.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

We stay in Caleta de Fuste and it’s lovely. Our usual hotel is right on the beach and there is a good range of restaurants and bars. Corralejo is a bit too towny for us.Sun_Addict said:My cousin always goes to Fuerteventura he loves it. It’s the one island we haven’t tried, we definitely should. With regards the money in a tin, why not setup a random number generator so its not lots of weeks with large amounts at the end of the year but more spread out over the weeks.1

Ooh this is a good idea. I’ve bought some small money envelopes so I could just select a random one each week and add the cashDebsnewbudget said:With regards the money in a tin, why not setup a random number generator so its not lots of weeks with large amounts at the end of the year but more spread out over the weeks.Life gets in the way...PADding is addictive...Saving's better than spending...My savings diary - Now for a healthier, wealthier me2025 1p challenge #41 | Cash envelope challenge #01 | SPC #017EF £1000/£1000 | Sabbatical £3677/£60002 -
Morning all, late update for me again but I have been busy this morning... decided to have a bit of a de-clutter and you know it always gets a lot worse before it starts to look better
I've sent £1 PAD to CC7 and then I have started the cash envelopes, I spent some time labelling 52 of them in pretty colours haha. I had £35 in my purse so I filled week 20 and week 15. I a not going to be at home next Monday so it made sense to fill these 2 for this week and next. I've locked them in my money tin which is cleverly disguised as a book
This money will be included in my sealed pot money as the amounts are in sealed envelopes. Once all the envelopes are full there will be over £1300 in there.
Not a NSD for me if all goes to plan as I am hoping the nail bar is open for me to get my pre-holiday nails done. Only infills so not as expensive as it could be. But I definitely need to lose the red glitter Christmas colour haha.
That's about it from me. Hope you all have a great day

Nail bar is closed. So an unexpected NSD for me

If you can do the full 52 weeks LMD that will be some achievement. Even if you don’t manage to do them all that’s still a flying start with £35.
