Good luck with the new job role.
Your holiday will be here before you know it.1 -
Another one here whose role is changing to work for 4 additional people while their assistant is on a career break for a year. I'm already really busy so not sure where I'm going to find the extra time! Good luck with your new role and have a fantastic holiday.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

Just caught up with your diary. I really like your resolutions/goals for 2023, I need to have a serious think of my own so that I can remain focussed. You've achieved so much in 2022, I'm really looking forward to seeing you declare that your debt free. I think all of the challenges on here make such a difference to motivation and success.
Congratulations on your new job, it sounds like you'll look forward to it. @Sun_Addict, I really hope that they will be giving you a decent payrise to take on all that extra work!
I could really do with a holiday, so I am rather openly jealous lol.

Thanks all, it's not a new job as such but just a wider scope so we will see how it goes. Change isn't always a bad thing is it?
I have made my PAD this morning of £2 to CC7, this includes £1 from WeAre8 cashout. Prolific has been really quiet for me lately but I know it's only bonus money so I am not complaining.
@keedie, my goals should be achievable if I continue to keep up the habits of last year, I really feel 2022 was financially a success for me in terms of getting things under control, finding a balance and developing habits. Possibly even more successful than when I actually hit that zero balance if that makes sense at all. 2022 seems like the year it all seemed to 'click' in my head and I was finally able to stop fretting about money problems.
I definitely agree that the challenges on here keep you focussed and motivated, and I'm thrilled at how many people have joined the new PAD chapter 2023 thread. I'm sure we will see some astonishing totals!
Today is another NSD for me. Number 4 for January already, trying to get some in before holiday as we are not all inclusive so will be spending every day whilst on holiday. Glad I kept money aside from my 2022 sealed pot though
That's about all from me today, catch you all later

I'm glad it has been of some help, just as I have been helped from other diaries on here. It's what I really love about this forum!

Your diary is definitely a great one and very inspiring @LittleMissDetermined.
I know what you mean about 2022 having things click financially, and I think the habits you've developed will definitely be life long changes. I feel like my proper light bulb moment came when my debt increased in the summer with my son's school fees. But the mindset I have now, will make 2023 a successful year, so yes I understand that 2022 will probably always be your benchmark of when things clicked and will hold more value than reaching zero debt - as it's the year that made financial change a reality for you.

Good morning! Up very early today and lots to do before we go to the airport early doors tomorrow, my eyes are still a bit too blurry to confidently dye my eyebrows so I will do that at lunch haha!
I made my £1 PAD to CC7 this morning and today my statement should be generated at some point so payments from tomorrow should be ticking off that minimum payment numberUnfortunately the due date falls just before pay day so I do have to keep an eye on it tracking down, especially as the surveys have been few and far between lately.
Today is my 5th NSD for January. I won't have another now until 15th when we are back home. I am feeling more and more confident that my DFD will be 27th May, as I am just as focused as ever and once back from holiday we are arranging that joint account which means I will have a bit more to throw at debt.
Yesterday I arranged to switch my phone to sim only too, which saves me £60 a month. (touch wood) there's nothing wrong with my handset so I will start saving once my debts are cleared and purchase my next handset outright - no more debt! This is a win-win as I also get a much better signal with my new provider. An issue I have been raising to EE for the past 18 months to no avail, they just close my complaints without even speaking to me. I will be glad to be rid of them!
Anyway, that's my update for today. Need another coffee and then I will be logging on early for work to get a head start.
