  • Hope Mr LMD feels better soon. I did read that this new variant can evade the LFT tests and some people test negative and yet if they do a PCR test, it often comes back positive. I've heard of a few people having that experience.
Hope you get a few surveys today. I found it slow yesterday, but I did have quite a bit suddenly approved on P/fc
He's spent the day in bed so he must be feeling poorly.  Need to get him up later for dinner and football.  I have also made up the spare bed for me and the dog!

Ooh yes, you don't want to be sleeping in the same room and catching his germs. I kick DH out to the spare room frequently...lol

Mr RS was debating whether to sleep in the spare bedroom or on the sofa last night but he did come to bed in the end. We both had a much better night's sleep last night thankfully.
  • I definitely slept better in the spare room, although I could still hear him coughing. I'm going to make him do another lat flow this morning when he feels up to it.

Today is not a NSD for me, as I am off to a wreath making session tonight with a friend. We have already paid for the session and the food but we will need to buy a drink or 2 so it will be low spends anyway.  PAD this morning included £2 to CC7, it's coming down nicely still :)

I am currently working from the kitchen as the very nice man from Autoglass is replacing my pesky windscreen. I hadn't even realised that it's not just the glass, as it's got the automatic lights, wipers, lane detection and collision detection.  The whole thing needs replacing and then he needs to road test it to make sure it's set up right.  At least he sounds like he knows what he's doing.

Today is the dog's 4th birthday, so he's had a nice breakfast and is now busy barking at the autoglass man. I'm sure he will be worn out by lunchtime :D

That's pretty much my update, Prolific was slow again yesterday so nothing going on there, I still have about £11 pending so I might get some cashed out later, we will see.

Take care everyone, it's Baltic out there!!

  • Thanks Keedie, there has been a lot of momentum this month from surveys etc so that has made a huge difference.

Today is no exception, with the pet insurance refund hitting the bank I have sent £14 to CC7 this morning and my £18 standing order has been sent to the sealed pot. Today will be another NSD for me, number 9 for December. Hubby is still feeling rubbish but says it's not as bad as it was, so whatever bug it is seems to be fast moving.

There should be a few more NSDs for me over the next week as I have no plans now until 20th Dec which is our pay day this month.  I don't really like being paid early, and usually transfer it all out to savings but as I have my separate spending accounts this year I am going to try not doing that to see how I manage.

I hope everyone has a great day

  • Morning everyone! I hope everyone is doing OK in the extremely cold weather, I'm so glad it's Friday as I'm starting to feel like I may have picked up hubby's bug. :(  I didn't sleep very well last night as a result and now I'm shattered.

This morning I have sent £2 as my PAD to CC7, it's a NSD for me today... I am at the dentist this morning but I can claim the costs back through my health plan so I'm not including that spend as I will be reimbursed in a few days.  The next big payment will be when I get paid on Tuesday and this will take me into the £4ks :)

I've a few quid on c-cats and quite a bit waiting to be approved on Prolific so I will try and do some more c-cats at the dentists waiting room later and then see what I can cash out at the end of the working day as there may be some available on Prolific by then.  We will see!

    Have a good Friday

  • Well, scratch that update... hubby very wisely suggested that I should call and check if the dentist would still do the check up if I was unwell.  They won't so that's saved me a wasted trip across Sheffield and I have re-booked for next week.

Sometimes he does have good ideas! :D

  • Ooh yes, definitely not a good idea to go to the dentist if you have germs.  Must admit I am of the opinion that you shouldn't mix with anyone if you have any sort of virus/cold etc, but I know a lot don't share my view.  I used to work with people who would come to work and say "its just a cold", but what is only a cold to one person can turn into something a lot worse for others, and their "little colds", would nearly always turn into nasty chest infections for me, ever since the time I had pneumonia.  Its like the covid thing isn't it?  You just never know who you are near, if they are vunerable to these things or not.

You were lucky to get in again next week. We cancelled ours for Wedsnesday just gone, and they can't see us now until Feb 1st. Not that I'm complaining, I hate dentists.

    Hope you feel better. x
