  • Good morning, I’m feeling great this morning after having a good nights sleep!  It’s a busy day for me, I have to get some shopping and clean the house. We are going to a fireworks party later too.

PAD made of £1 to CC7, I still have a balance pending in Prolific but it’s not payable yet. Today isn’t a NSD as I have to get some things in town and then bits for the party later.

I’m eagerly awaiting my bank switch to complete as it feels like I have money all over the place at the moment. I don’t like being disorganised… speaking of which, I also need to order the Christmas Turkey from the butcher today.

Hope you all have a great day!

    Have a good day

  • Morning everyone, I have lots of houseworky stuff to do today, including a lovely Sunday roast this evening for dinner.  I have made a list in the hope that crossing them off will keep me motivated haha.  I'm doing more batch cooking tomorrow too so I will need to prep the veg for that, the recipe uses shallots and peeling those is a bind!

PAD this morning was £7 to CC7, the statement hasn't been generated yet so I will still need to find £60 to put towards it before the due date which is usually the 25th, hopefully my daily PADs will cover this.  Today will be a NSD for me, I managed to get a few more Christmas presents yesterday so I'm pleased about that. Accounts are in recovery mode today :D

I completed my first mystery shop yesterday, which was really quite easy. Hopefully £7.50 will be winging its way to me soon for that. Have also picked up a few Prolific studies and been carrying on the C-Cat surveys which although are low paying are pretty frequent and are easy to do when you're sat having a brew.

In other news, I have finally managed to talk hubby into doing a BT for his credit cards... he's been merrily paying interest without a care in the world! Seriously, we have such opposite views when it comes to credit card interest. Anyway, I feel like that was a good deed and it will save him a LOT because he currently has more than me outstanding.  We have also worked out that at the rate he is paying, it will be cleared before the 0% term expires. I am a helpful wife :D

That's all from me this morning, I have some receipts I need to snap from yesterday but none of those are anywhere near close to paying out.  Slowly does it though, we know it will add up in the end!

    Have a lovely Sunday!

Well done for helping the hubby with his finances.
  • Who was your mystery shop with?  I signed up to Tern and also Amber Arch, but nothing in my area yet. Think the closet one was about 23km away!! Thinking with Christmas coming up there might be more on offer.

I sometimes think men have a different outlook on money. My DH is totally onboard with all out DMP and everything now, but he wouldn't have thought about it, if I hadn't looked into it and sorted it all out. Even now he is happy for me to just sort all the finances out and he really had no idea what dates things are paid or how much we owe etc. He says he goes to work to earn the money, so that's his contribution....lol

  • Haha I guess that’s probably most men then.
My assignment was with Tern. They have some more in our wider area but they’re not in places I usually go and I don’t really want to drive out of my way as it negates the point of making extra money.

I'm glad your hospital appointment went well and you should definitely be going to your follow up appointment in a year's time debt free, as you're on track to be debt free months beforehand. It's good to see that your husband has seen the light and the balance transfer can be cleared before the 0% interest ends. I bet he's motivated by the amount of interest he'll be saving!

It's so nice to see you in the £5,000s. I started reading your diary a few months ago when you were in the £7,000s so you've done so well, it's very motivating 🤗.x

  • Have you managed to cash out today on CCs LMD? Every time I try, it says Transaction Failed. I checked my PP and that appears to be working ok. Not doing any more surveys on there till I know its working ok.
