Apparently broccoli stalk is nice sliced up and cooked - I must admit I haven’t tried it though.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

That is an absolutely amazing total for your SPC @LittleMissDetermined
Good news on the water bill AND you are getting very close to going under £6k outstanding.

  • Morning everyone, happy Friday! I have woken up this morning with a monstrous headache and I can't seem to shift it. Not a great start to the weekend.  I haven't been feeling great for the last 2 days so I don't know if it's a bit of a bug. Lots going around at the moment.

My PAD today is £41.41 to various places, DD's have started to make their way out of the accounts now that it's past pay day. Today will be a NSD as we have no plans and the cupboards and fridge/freezer are full. We are off out tomorrow so that will be spendy.

After watching Martin's TV show and reading some other posts, I have applied to switch my spends account to a First Direct account for the £175 switch bonus. This means I keep the benefits of my main Nationwide account as I have some DDs and SOs from my spends account and can easily transfer in the £1000 required amount as I will be moving most of my sealed pot total there.  We will see what happens, I still have my Monzo pots which are so easy to use I can't see me ever giving those up.  I'm not worried about impact to my credit score at the moment.

Prolific has gone a bit slow over the last few days, so nothing to cash out and no studies completed. Hopefully that will change and we will get another flurry of good surveys.

Off to nurse my pounding head a little more, catch you all later!

  • How's your headache? I had a lot of bad heads when I had that virus the last week or so, also I think too much screen time doesn't help....my old eyes need some extra help, but new glasses don't come cheap....lol.  Or I could have a lap top with a bigger screen....but that's expensive as well.  Anyway, hope you're feeling better.

  • Headache has finally gone, but I had to use my lunch-break to have a nap and sleep it off as the pain was making me feel nauseous. I think there are a number of contributory factors to be honest, I didn't sleep well at all last night and as it's been a busy week I have probably had too much screen time and not enough water-breaks.

I have just cashed out £2 from curious cats and sent that to CC7 which takes me to £6060 outstanding :)  Not much more before we smash that £6k barrier!

  • Morning all and happy Saturday, the weather is grim and does not bode well for our fancy dress halloween night out tonight :(
Oh well, it won't be raining in the pubs.

Today I have made £1 PAD to CC7, it's a busy day so no time for surveys I'm afraid. Still not able to cash out on Prolific and no studies lately either.  As we are out tonight, it won't be a NSD, it will be quite spendy.

The budget has been done and sorted, I have 270 days now until debt freedom... so close but still so far!!  I have decided to use a bit of my SPC money and treat myself to some new video games. I need to get cracking now and write a Christmas card list and sort out what Christmas presents I have already got and what's left to buy... time to get organised!

    Have a good one guys
