It's a beautiful day and I've got two loads of washing out on the line happily blowing around, and the doggy blanket (well my blanket but he keeps laying on it..lol) is going around in the machine.Lazy morning so far but I'm going yo get showered and dressed now, then do a couple more boxes packing in the lounge. Hopefully we'll be able to pop them to the storage unit after Banji's vet visit for his booster jabs later this afternoon 🙂Brilliant news about the roadmap but I'm being cautious as it can change so quickly. But it looks like we can go and stay in Wales while house hunting..and my sisters zoo can finally open as Mark Drayford is also doing a roadmap. This might be the kick I need to actually get properly decluttered..Dave's collecting NHS letters as he got another one re. shielding till 31st March. Hopefully that will be the last one...Hugs to all ❤Mortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️

Jazee said:Morning all. Hope you're all ok today.
Valli, on your recommendation I watched Unforgotten for the first time ever. Really enjoyed it.
I will do some flying today and have a dentist appointment too. I tried crochet last night, not a great success yet but think it's because I'm left handed.
Have a great day everyone.Mortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️

I finally steam mopped the floors and then after reading yet another of Valli's posts, I have washed my car. Must stop reading Valli's posts haha!
Just having an early lunch. Going to have a quick, look at left hand crochet videos before going to dentist. I will become a fly lady who crochets!Spend less now, work less later.11 -

I am a Flylady who crochets, but I had to be very determined to learn because I just couldn't get it at all and I'd tried several times. Then a wonderful woman ran a two day course at Mount Edgcumbe over three weeks so we could do learn and practice before the final session and, at last, I got the gist of it. I now crochet while watching TV to give me something to do with my hands.. I also have stacks of squares I need to put together to make a couple more blankets.(((Hugs))) YL. I hope you're feeling better today.Good luck with the decluttering and organising Mumof3.Commiserations Dancemum on the cat's version of a wake up call. *ick*Another fan of The Forgotten here.Narco, well done on working out why letting the shelves go was so hard. It's taken me a long, long time to realise I found it difficult to get rid of personal stuff because I had to so often when we moved as a child. It culminated in my parents making me sell my beloved horse when I was 17 when they bought a farm because 'there wasn't any room for her'. They had 260 acres! I'm really not sure quite what they thought they were doing but it's not something I can 'let go' because I found out what happened to her later and I grieve for her even now, 47 years later. Knowing that means I am now a lot less attached to some things I thought were important because they simply remind me of things (and people)that are actually very upsetting.OH has done a load of laundry and is hanging it out in the breeze, I've decuttered 23 photographs and two albums for the CS, trundled the dog and am about to do some legals nearby. After that I'll declutter some paperwork and I might even do some dusting, but then again I might not. I might enjoy *flinging* too much to stop and while I'm in the mood I'm going to take full advantage of it.Better is good enough.12

Good afternoon.
I struggled to get out of bed, but had to because I am working today!
I have checked emails & bank accounts, sent emails to parents (with activity sheets, and to get an update on when they need me), walked the dog and small child in the sunshine around the park and made some soup for our lunch. We are chilling now, so I may look at some work stuff on the laptop.
Tomorrow I am not working, so I am eyeing up the patio. It needs cleaning (it goes green in the winter), and then I can get the boys out there on nice days 😁 The grass is still out of bounds (to children & dogs) as it needs to dry out/recover. Luckily I have a fence & gate to restrict access.
Well done on the decluttering ladies! I still haven't worked out why I keep stuff, other than it may be useful one day! I am sure there is more to it than that....I could really do with down sizing my toy stash, but so many different children of different ages & stages, and different interests, it is difficult. In my heart of hearts I know less us more - but what to choose??! 🤷♀️
Ok - I am going to fire up the laptop and do something useful & work related.
Have a good day everyone!11 -
So my WIP of cleaning light fittings didn't quite go to plan. Needed to get the wee glass caps off the end of the fitting to clean properly and managed to break one as it was really hard to get off the fitting. We've had this light for years so it doesn't owe us anything. New light fitting being fitted by OH now. On the other hand the light in the other room we cleaned looks fab and fresh.11

Going to update banking whilst DD1 removes last few traces of wallpaper in downstairs loo, and fills holes.

I haven't washed my car yet - I have baked banana bread (gift for family nearby, the mum has covid) and sewn the buttons on the cardigan and wrapped it all ready to post.
