Vodafone said I have comitted FRAUD
Hi, Looking for some advice please regarding vodafone.
I was one of the lucky ones that got the N95 on the 18 month contract with 15 months half price @ £13.50 and 3 months @ £27 direct from vodafone. I have an email from vodafone confirming the price plan so this defo is not a mistake.
Well on top of that I referred 3 people from this board and we where due to get £50 each after the fourth payment has being paid. I have an email from vodafone confirming the refer a friends@ £50 each so this defo is not a mistake.
Anyway I have been getting the run around from vodafone over the last weeks regarding the payments with them looking into and promising to phone back etc...
WELL I have just being on the phone for over 1 hour and the crux of the conversation is them saying that they will not pay me the money AS I HAVE COMITTED FRAUD as that is the message on the computer system.
!!!!!!, vodafone gave me the deal, I do not work for vodafone and I don't know anyone who does work for them, I got the deal from this board and all the referals where done over the phone with 3 people taking out the same deal as me.
Where has this FRAUD being comitted?
I am livid that they have this in my account notes.
They said it is being investigated and that a manager will call me back within 48 hours( I right).
Where do I stand here:
a: regarding the fraud
b: cancelling my contract at no penalty to me
Thanks
Ps sorry for the rant:mad::mad::mad:

We meet again lol.
I have been meaning to find out if it is around time for the refer a friend payments to be coming through. Well I haven't got anything yet, despite have a few from here like you. I'll chase them up tomorrow too. Presumably you tried talking to someone else about this, you, like me know how poor their call centers can be.0 -
Well I work as a fraud investigator for one of the networks (not Voda) and I can't see how they can come to the conclusion...
Which dept did you talk to as most fraud dept aren't customer facing.0 -

LOL mate, how goes it?
I got passed from pillar to post, billing payments / new connections / customer care they just kept putting the phone down on me and this makes your put your phone munber back into there system, just seemed to be luck of the draw.
I tried explaining numerous times that how could I commit fraud where there sales adviser offered me the deal.
Thay have said they will get someone to phone back within two working days, but they also said on monday that someone would phone me back on wednesday which didn't happen
so will have to see what happensMoney saving newbie but learning fast:D0 -

Exactly, did I hypnotise the sales adviser or something?:D
Correct mate. they said that there fraud dept but the note on my account they also said that the fraud dept dont take calls as I said I would like to speak to someone in there.
They customer care guy couldn't work out either how I could have committed fraud as voda offered me this deal.
I emailed customer care my two emails from voda confirming my price plan and refer a friend.
They really are crap
If this doesn't get resloved to my satisfaction then I will request a copy of my account notes under the DPA and if they still have the fraud notes in there then I think I will be going down a legal route:mad:Money saving newbie but learning fast:D0 -

LOL, makes you wonder who are the more reputable company
You have hit the nail on the head, I think they have looked at the deal I got, a brand new N95 for a total of £288 including 18 months line rental and thought he is not getting a further £150 off:o
But hey they offered me this deal;)
Fraudsters that they are:D:D:DMoney saving newbie but learning fast:D0 -
I'd be just as upset that they have said you commited fraud. thats slanderous!!! Hope it gets sorted for you and you ask for an apology from them too.0

Unless they think the referrals didn't come from you somehow ? They might think someone else was using your info or that you were letting other people use your referral info, but it's hard to see how they could do that ?
I would suggest that you call em back and ask to speak to a teamleader as they 'should' be able to call the fraud team and find out whats going on.
Fraud teams aren't 'customer facing' (which is a terrible term, I hate it) as they tend to have very few staff and STACKS of work...0 -
Vodafone have a cheek ! they are the FRAUDSTERS
I bought contract via one of thier " authorised " retailers
the plan I bought DOES not exist and Vodafone cant process it, they wont let me out of contract - I say the T&C are uninforceable, they say they are
its ruining my credit file as I stayed with Orange instead of porting to Voda, I cant afford to pay it - I have contracts with T-mob, 3 & Orange already
Exec office ignore my letters
Now gone to Otelo for investigation 7 months I tried to sort it with Vodafone, they basically said pay your minimum term to release yourself
FIT135 and customer care have done all they can to help/advice but Head Office seem to be burying thier head in the sand hoping I will go away
Otelo have a marvelous case against Vodafone
Must say customer services have been great all the way through, still cant access online billing which I was assured be able to come OctSO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe

Tbh I think its been miscommunicated
Its probably a case of their fraud department are carrying out security checks to establish everything is ok
This doesnt mean their accusing you of fraud, its simply a case that their fraud department have responsibility for carrying out these checks
The amount of scams and frauds that do go on its not unreasonable they look into such cases
Give them time to look into it, if they still refuse fair enough but at this stage Id wait to see what they have to say officially rather than some retard on the phone0
