Well that was an unexpected run of NSD's. I've been in hospital since Sunday having a gallstone removed fom my bile duct. I'm sure that there are easier ways to save money. I was let out yesterday so today I've done some grocery shopping and took I £20 out of the cashpoint for my friend who took me to A&E on Sunday. Flowers are probably more appropriate as a thank you but  know she's broke at the moment so rather than waste money that she could put to better use.....cold hard cash it was.

I'm happy with last month's progress. I missed work Monday and Tuesday this week so I won't be paid for those at the end of the month. I also need another op but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

My prolific balance reached £11.04 this afternoon. The minimum overpayment for my loan is £10 so I only cash out prolific once it reaches that amount or just over. £11.04 pad off my loan saving me £5 in interest.

Thank you @beanielou and @Blackcats. Letter from the bank said interest saved was actually £5.76.

Yesterday was not an NSD. My son had to go to school for a covid test before going back to school tomorow so we all went. I had to take him in the car so my looked after person had to come too (Saturday is one of my working days). Son's partner came with us and we went to the bakery on the way home as a treat for the boys for managing so well while I was in hospital. It was also an easy way of doing lunch for everyone while I was still recovering. I spent £10.65 which covered morning snacks, lunch for me and the lads (LAP had a toastie) and a doughnut each for the boys. It didn't come out of my bank account though, it came out of my "purse money" some of which has been in there a long time as I don't tend to use cash much. It gets topped up here and there from the money my boss pays me in cash to remburse me for making meals/snacks for my LAP.

We went out last night to find somewhere without light pollution to look at stars as my son's partner lives in the city and his mum doesn't drive. Mission accomplished and then we came home and made hot chocolate with squirty cream and mini marshmallows. They had their doughnuts for supper, I just had the hot chocolate. It was a lovely evening and apart from some petrol (not much, we stayed fairly local) it was free. Fabulous memory made though.

Your stargazing evening sounds really nice.  I'm sure your son and his partner enjoyed doughnuts and hot chocolate for supper.  An inexpensive day but making memories.
I live near to a lovely spot which has a good view out to the distant city.  In the depths of the short days/long nights of last winter we would go there after work with a flask of tea and sit in the car and watch as the city lit up.
