Make Me A Winner - General Chat

I have saved one of the main MMAW numbers with the comma/pause/1 trick so I don't have to listen to the call or do anything after dialling. For some reason, I cannot set up the same thing on this additional £300K telephone number - does anyone else have this issue?

Yes I have experienced this occasionally. I think it’s just a glitch.  I normally leave it for 10 minutes or so and then it sorts itself out.  It is annoying though when you’ve had to wait for the whole message only to have to hang up and call again.

Restarting my phone and leaving it 10mins usually sorts mine out when I've had this issue. Never lasted too long, but I also checked to see if it was peak times like lunch break etc. and left it until after lunch to see if it was working again x

I received a lovely surprise in the post this morning, a cheque for £100 - RLC-NOV25-259 Crossword winner 44, the cheque is from FUTURE. I would like to thank the person who posted the competiton but I haven't been able to find out which one it was. Can anyone help decipher the clues, please?

I was wondering has anyone on here won a large amount in this competition or know anyone who has? I'd be interested to know how they entered, phone, text etc and how many times they entered .

I won £10,000 with Planet Rock 5.5 years ago. It was back when you had to remember that days' rock star (it was Alice Cooper! He has the same birthday as me!).

That was via free daily phone entries, but back when you entered your number via a webpage form up to about 15/25/30 per day.

I hadn't won anything before then, and haven't won since, but I still only do the free entries. I don't always manage to do the full entries, though,because it's just so many.

Originally it was supposed to go on my wedding, but literally weeks later everything in the house started breaking (oven, fridge-freezer, 2x TV's etc.) - so it kept us out of debt and bought us a new sofa suite instead! I also gave a bit to my parents ♥

A lady from our town won make me a winner a few months ago. I didn't know her.

There was someone from this actual thread who won about a year or so ago I seem to remember. That was when it was a daily competition.

Regardless of the entry route used each entry has an equal chance of winning - Online entrants can get 350 chances in one go for £25 compared to one entry per phone call and odds are there will be many millions of entries per draw.
