Actually, this could be worse if someone says it did say there was a missed call so I don’t want to know. Thank you though! Momentary relief.

I realise how sickening it may feel to think you may have missed the call and understand it’s a life changing amount. I agree with others and would try to have the mindset that it was most unlikely the call. Regardless there is nothing you can do and I would try to let it go ( as hard as it is) and focus on the positives in your life, play with your 1 year old etc and appreciate the small things in life otherwise it will make you poorly with worry/ depression. Personally I enter a competition and forget about it and if I don’t win then that one wasn’t meant for me and think that the next one may be. 

Keep entering the comps, your time will come xx

There was a tip put on here for entering this a while back with multiple commas and then a 1. Could this part of the terms void all of them entries do we reckon?

"The use of any automated entry software or any other mechanical or electronic means that permits any person to enter any Competition repeatedly, or make multiple simultaneous entries, is prohibited."

Putting a comma in is not really the same as using automated entry software like an auto dialler.

Morning.  I’m sure this has probably been asked many times before on this forum thread so apologies for being late to the party but I can’t find how to search within a forum.  So my question is -  does anyone know how long after 5pm they make the call?  Like everyone my body goes into “high alert” at 5pm every Friday. In fact I become a bit silly and won’t go anywhere or do anything where I may not be able to have a good signal on my phone for the next hour - when the disappointment starts to sink in and, actually the relief in a way that I can now get on with life for another week (whilst remembering to do my calls of course!).  If I know that if the call hasn’t come by say 5.10pm then that would help.  I know the obvious thing is to listen to the show but the really stupid (and rather selfish) thing is that I never want to listen to the radio live to hear the winner.  I’m always happy for whoever got lucky when I hear it in the week after the event but I just don’t want to hear it live.  How weird is that?!

I think you have spoken for a lot of us. I too have avoided going places or doing things incase I missed that call. In the past I have even not entered that week if I know I am definitely not going to able to receive the call. I think seeing that missed phone call on my phone at that sort of time on a Friday would haunt me for a very long time if it did happen.

When asked, previous winners have indicated the call is normally made a few minutes after the top of the hour. So normally by 10 past. Although one winner I seem to remember said the call was made at 16 minutes past that particular day.

I thought the winner yesterday seemed so underwhelmed by the call.
