I’m new to this and not sure if I can enter the competition if I’ll be abroad the day the make the call ? I’m in a country where I can still use my phone .0

@teddave I think that you can as long as you live in the u.k. I seem to recall someone answering a winning call when they were sitting on a beach in Tenerife. The presenter confirmed that they had still won the prize. Maybe someone else can confirm/remember this.Wins 2022 March - Product Of The Year Goody Bag June - Baker’s Too Kit July - A years supply of Fruity Gum / Nutribullet Juicer October - Immune Support Supplements Dec - Green + Blacks Tasting Selection (no delivery, had £20 Amazon Voucher instead) / Halo Creative Nails Kit / Board Games Bundle / Essential oil & Gemstone Cards

I’m 95% sure I missed THE call on Friday. I went to retrieve my one year old from another room and reached my phone as the call dropped. 17.04. No caller ID. I only entered 13 times last week. Feeling utterly gutted but trying to tell myself it could have been anything and every week is a statistical blank sheet. If anyone has any tips or words of wisdom please send them my way!0

I completely understand this, and would probably feel the same. Please know that it's 99.9% likely that it wasn't 'the' call. There is soooooooo much more chance of it being a spam or scam call. If you had entered 350 time, that would still be the case, but having entered 13 times makes a huge statistical difference. Think of the maths. If you enter 350 times, you are entering the same number of times as most people using the free route (I can never remember if paid entries allow more entries - I don't really care, cos I wouldn't pay.) But if you enter 13 times, you are competing against most people who made vastly more entries than you. It is worth doing, because you are right in that it might have been 'the' call. But honestly, it is hugely more likely to have been a scammer. Try to think of it that way, otherwise it will drive you mad. Final point, I wonder how many people are in that same position every week - my guess is, a lot.Tron103 said:I’m 95% sure I missed THE call on Friday. Thank you so much. I needed to hear this. I think I’m going to wallow for a little bit but hopefully will get a grip and move on! What’s meant for me won’t go past me and all that…
I’ll still enter… I’m a sucker for emotional anxiety!!!1 -
I felt the same when you had to answer the call ‘with make me a winner’. I very rarely get calls that are withheld or from private numbers and I’d missed one at 15:10 and was convinced I’d missed ‘the’ call. I actually felt sick until I’d received a voicemail and the caller was regarding some flooring that I’d ordered! 😅 I’d never felt so relieved to hear that voicemail!Tron103 said:I’m 95% sure I missed THE call on Friday. This probably doesn’t help but we’ve all been there and the chances of it being a spam caller far outweigh the chance of it being ‘the’ call!1 -
I would really love a voicemail! Or to receive another call from a no caller ID. I get a lot of spam calls but not usually no caller ID which is throwing me. But you are all right. The chances are tiny. It actually makes me feel better hearing other people say it bluntly!2

Maybe better off not getting a voicemail. A few years ago when magic radio used to do a similar comp where you had to answer with a phrase I missed a call. It was actually magic radio as there was a voicemail that included part of the show. I lost out on £7,000 but consoled myself with the thought that I would probably have been disqualified anyway as I had previously won a prize worth £500 from one of the bauer comps and hadn't realised I couldn't enter. Imagine having a voicemail from make me a winner when you have missed it. I would be absolutely gutted to receive that voicemail.Tron103 said:I would really love a voicemail! You’re right. I need to suck it up and let it go. It’s hard.1
