They are really good Valli.
Took dogs for second walk, chatted to friend, can't be bothered to do anything else now so I'm sitting down with a cuppa and Xmas cake.Spend less now, work less later.10 -
pigpen said:Dustykitten said:Pigpen your ear sounds sore. Is twinkle your youngest? I think I only remember squeak, how old is she?Squeak is now 10, waiting to hear about high school in 3 weeks time!!. 'Baby' Jacob was 12 last week!! Dot is 9, Pixie is 7 and Twinkle is 4. It really has flown by!Starving fluffers fed and I choked on my cuppa.. as you do!
Hoovered all of downstairs because I was cold and hoovering always makes me too hot. Also changed all the hand towels, tea towels etc and put on to wash. Back to the paid stuff for a bit now.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair9 -
Hello xx
Thank you for asking Fayolle and Goodi xx I had laser treatment on my right eye this morning. Went to the optician's as arranged for 9am and he phoned the hospital and booked me in straightaway with the on call opthalmolgist. Numerous tests, photos, examinations and then laser surgery on a retinal tear to (hopefully) prevent a retinal detachment. And I arrived home at 1pm. So quite a traumatic morning. But at least I wasn't awake all night panicking because I didn't know it was going to happen!!!! Go back in 10 to 14 days for a checkup and maybe more laser treatment. Any symptoms before then and I have to go straight to A&E. And breathe...
Flying? I made my bed, fed the birds and put out the recycling before I went. Done nothing this afternoon except watch it snow and answer the phone
Take care.

Oh Round glad its been done, hope you are OK x
Valli thats amazing, you can see what both of them are.
Busy day at the paid stuff. DH is home and irritating me, I love him to bits but we are spending far too much time together at the moment. To be fair I am probably irritating him too. I went to do my site visit this morning and he came with me to keep me company. Hoping the snow doesnt get much worse so I can go into the office tomorrow.
Tidies, hoovered and dusted LR because it was a tip. Cleared fire out. Pasta for tea, meeting at 7pm.10 -

Dustykitten said:Oh yes I remember Dot and Pixie now but Squeak going to High School seems unreal. Baby Jacob is your GS isn't he? Was he the first? I also remember Moomin and that you had 3 boys and two older girls but I think I'm missing a child or two.
Hoovered all of downstairs because I was cold and hoovering always makes me too hot. Also changed all the hand towels, tea towels etc and put on to wash. Back to the paid stuff for a bit now.I have the 4 littles.. and 8 bigger ones.. DS1 is 30 in September!! Jacob is the oldest grandbeasty and Fabian who is nearly 9 is his too. DD1 has 4 now, almost 9, 6, 3 next month and 1 in May.. just the one grandpink for me though.. the other 2 male specimen (25 and 22) live at home still 1 at uni in Bangor, 2 living with friends and Moomin was 18 in November. DS1 came for a shower and forgot to leave.. in August '19!! And.. OH and I will have been married 3 years in May!Dentist decluttered.. apparently the enamel on my teeth is so rubbish my bottom teeth have worn holes in the back of my top teeth.. joy..Mobile bill paid.. glee..I need to be out so badly I '*may* have looked at booking a caravan for a few nights in March/April.. thankfully I have no money.painting is still not done but the paint is now upstairs so one step further.Dot was a DELIGHT at school this afternoon.. I am so happy .. they can have some experience of what I deal with every single day.. Apparently school today refused a SEN child and made her grandma take her home.. The little girl needs to be in a SEN school but the school are refusing to help her. She is 9 and can not even write her own name yet.. it's disgraceful. I said I'd be dragging MP's and the LA in to push this. Dot doesn't need a specialist unit by any stretch, though an EHCP would be helpful but I am doing that after the ASD assessmentand can amend it after the SPD one is finished. I do want to get her the weighted vibrating snake though, she absolutely loved that.. it's second on my purchase list right now. First is a heater for Moomins bedroom because it is icy in there.

Thanks for the comments! I wanted to make them to (a) test them out and (b) check if they baked ok in the oven. Since the oven was on I threw a couple of banana loaves in - my classic recipe and a chocolate chip one I make for a friend (I don't like it but she says it's delicious). I've been for emergency supplies (more salt lol) and put the old shower curtain on the windscreen for tomorrow.
My 4 weeks with reception should be up by the end of this week and I am finding it hard now, especially coming up with activities. I really want to clean properly including my two unoccupied bedrooms as they need a good dusting. Next week I shall be a whirling dervish of activities...Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Glad you're OK, round, and that you got treated immediately. Do be careful how you move for the next few days - we don't want you knocking the repair. I think that lets you off a lot of flying!
I have cleaned the bathroom more thoroughly than usual, S&S'd the kitchen, cleared a few papers off my desk, done WMx3, walked Rosie brrrrrr! and sent some work texts and emails. Not much in the grand scheme of things but it will have to do for today. I am going to watch TV programmes non-stop this evening (though I might manage to make/write some cards at the same time). DH had his jab so we are ready for Round 2.
(((Hugs))) spoons and sticks all round xx9 -
Round, I have had exactly same procedure as you for retinal tear. I did have to have two further procedures, all painless. PM me if you wish.
