Only if you want to object to the hearing being transferred to the County Court at Bradford.
Quite why you would want to object to that in these days of telephone hearings is difficult to say.
    Ok thanks, fair enough.

Just looking for anything that might help me :)

I wouldn't object...Bradford is where they are striking cases out, following the decision in Excel v Wilkinson!

    SUCCESS! (I think?)
Received a letter from County Court at Bradford - General Form of Judgment or Order.
It is ordered that, the claim is struck out as abuse of process.

Is this the end of the saga?

Do I need to do anything else?

Well you could complain to the SRA

    https://www.lawsociety.org.uk/public/for-public-visitors/using-a-solicitor/complain-about-a-solicitor

You could also consider making a claim against the PPC

    https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/law-and-courts/legal-system/small-claims/making-a-small-claim/

you could complain to their ATA, Trading Standards, local media, Trust Pilot, and you MP.

Looking good for you , but nothing to stop the claimant issuing a new claim with better POC for less money claimed , like Parking Eye do , typically £200 or less in your case , £175 in a Parking Eye case

It's good to see the non impact by VCS on this tactic , they said one was being appealed in march , yet your order above is dated April , a good sign. If we start to see VCS and Excel claims if £200 or less we will know they have lost or capitulated on the spurious charges , unlike CEL

However it does say that the claimant can apply to have it set aside , varied , or stayed , within 7 days of receipt of that order , so that deadline has passed

Good news, nice to see Abuse of Process back on the menu again.

Makes the BWLegal / Salisbury appeal an expensive waste of time  ?

Will CEL appeal ? Same place, same outcome, money down the drain.

These parking companies are being grossly misled by their ATA CODE OF PRACTICE which invite them to add these abuse of process fakes

In the case of CEL being a BPA member, this is down to a director of the BPA ?   The question is ... why are these BPA members paying to belong to an organisation that tells them to add fakes and then the member loses in court .....  what sort of membership is that ?

Good old Judge Hickinbottom (again!). This is not 'back on the table', it's remained on the table in that court area.

As I said to the OP, Leeds/Bradford are still striking cases out, but to answer this question:

Is this the end of the saga?
Only if CEL don't appeal.  Don't throw the paperwork away.  They have 21 days to seek leave to appeal and you may not hear about their application until a few weeks after that.  I would diarise to ring the local court around 1st June to check whether CEL appealed or not, then report back to us!

The SRA only regulates solicitors, not PPCs.

I know that.  I am  suggesting that the PPC complains about the solicitor

They should have advised their client that the claim would be likely to fail and have therefore failed to act in their client's best interests,  and consequently wasted OP's time.

I wish people would see the bigger picture, .

CEL don't use a solicitor, so no bigger picture to see!  They directly employ the ex-Wongaman barrister.

Anyway, since when have you been advising PPCs? 😄 🤦‍♂️
