Selling Cat-D Car- Mini One help

Putting it through an MOT will give a new buyer confidence. It might however highlight some issues that need attention - that's not a bad thing - as you can put those right before the next owner buys it - but the price is over the top currently. Of course we all want to get the best price for our stuff when we sell it - but there's the best price - and there's the in-your-dreams price - if you want to shift it - you've got to be a bit more realistic.Sshabir said:Thanks Williamgriffin. I was thinking is it worth doing the MOT during the lockdown or shall i do it after the lock down is over as the car is sorn and is parked in a garage?2 -

It's had an MOT now (passed with flying colours, I can't get onto the site to check the details but I'm skeptical given that it was given a new battery on MOT day).
Price is still high, and it's still SORN (no idea for how long). Almost no-one is going to buy a cat D car that they can't test drive unless they are offering peanuts for it. At £3k you might get someone looking for a cheap car, at £2k you might get a dealer willing to take a risk on flipping it for £4k on a forecourt.0 -
Oh no it didn't. Both front tyres showing uneven wear. Maybe tracking / toe-in issue?Herzlos said:It's had an MOT now (passed with flying colours,Monitor and repair if necessary (advisories):
- Nearside Front and offside front tyres wearing on outer tread
Also, Gumtree is not the the first place I'd look if I wanted a car - there is a far more dominant place to look for people with an auto to trade...2 -
Facebook marketplace is the go to place for many buyers. I've sold a handful of cars over the last few years, ranging from a couple of thousand to a year old car at £16,000. Granted it attracts more than its fair share of dolts but they can be easily ignored.Grumpy_chap said:
