It's definitely a One, assuming George found the right ad.
  • It's definitely the right advert.

Thanks, George. That explains why I couldn't find it... I was searching based on the asking price in the post, not the actual one on the ad, which is £5,250... So it's a 2013 car, 62 plate.

And, yes, the ad header does say Cat D.

Something like this should be pretty easy to figure out a value for, simply because it's so common.
There are 48 2013 Mini Ones on Autotrader.
    The cheapest is £2,800 - 80k mile Cat S.
    Six non-write-offs under £4k.
4 <30k miles. Cheapest is £6,600 - and the lowest mileage, just 10k.
    There's a £5k Cat S with 45k miles
    £5,500 will get a non-write-off with 46k - https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202009234119554 - unsold since September...
    £5,150 will get a non-write-off with 61k - https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202011035753020 - unsold since the start of November...
    £5,500 will get a 2015, newer-shape CatS with 44k miles - https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202011045782640 - unsold since the start of November...
    or a 2015, newer-shape CatN with 84k miles - https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202012066821392 - unsold since the start of December...

    So, yes, OP... Overpriced.

Closest clue as to right pricing for yours...?

    2012/62, 23k, Cat N, £4k, white - and still unsold since November.
Thanks Adrian.  Great research and the information in your reply is very useful.

Thanks everyone for the replies.  Such a helpful community!
  • Another couple of reasons you might have for the lack of interest is that due to the current Covid situation, a lot of people might be wary of going for a test drive plus the fact that it's currently sorned means that unless someone has driving other vehicles cover on their own insurance and this doesn't require the vehicle to be insured in it's own right, the number of potential buyers will be quite limited.

I think that there are a few things you need to do.
If you can, wait until lockdown has been eased then:
    Get a full years MOT,
    Reduce the price,
Take it off Sorn and get insurance.

Failing that, selling to one of the car buying companies may be your only real option if you need a quick sale.
