Chiglepig said:Our cupboard of Doom is the built in cupboard in the study full of old electronics, and DH's weakness - leads and wires, apparently we may one day need a scart lead, or a charging cable for a pre-2000 mobile phone, or 50 metres of TV ariel cable. I just keep the doors shut, so I am very impressed you tackled yours.Mortgage Free 23 December 2020

Happy to report that MrPorridge managed to get rid of most of a car boot full of magazines into a recycling bin near his work today so they are gone from the house forever. He also send three old routers back to the company for recycling so they're gone to. I've sorted out a bag of stuff into recycling and burning / shredding. I think if I can do that every evening it'll get done quite quickly.
I'm glad we're not the only people with a cupboard of Doom, of course we also have the cupboard of impending doom which is under the stairs.Mortgage Free 23 December 2020

Nothing further done on decluttering today, just feeling really meh, its been a very mixed up day at work, some students are in and some are still online and everyone is all over the place. I had one group of real live students and all they wanted to do was chat to each other. I was ten between being understanding and letting them and knowing that if you give an inch etc etc
Popped into Lidl to get some bits for school and got 1/3 off burgers, fruit juice and posh salami and then used a £2 voucher to pay for most of it. I'm nearly at the £10 voucher and most of it has been school spends so a good result.Mortgage Free 23 December 2020

In the end our third years voted with their feet and online turned up online we were still in the classroom. So in many ways online only was the better option this semester, but I know they are starting to worry that they won't see each other in person before they graduate.2014 starting mortgage £165,0002015 second charge £20,000 - Jan 2021 paid off in fullCurrent outstanding balance - £115,8561

@Chiglepig I do feel for all the youngsters as they've missed so much and the DFE's last minute changes doesn't help. We'd really like to be able to have some sort of a prom for our year 11's but the date we booked last year is just after the projected date for the last restrictions to go. We thought of moving it into July but it can't be past their official leaving day and the DFE still won't / can't tell us when that will be.Mortgage Free 23 December 2020

The new council tax bill arrived today and its not as bad as I was expecting, we're paying £7 a month more at £149 a month, thanks to living in a low tax area.
BT has said they'll be refunding £16 and some bits so I'm waiting for that to arrive, I've got another £10 extra in YNAB at the moment, I'm nearly at £5 cash out in prolific so I'll see if I can get that to £6 and then I'll have £32. £8 to each of the four pots. Monday hopefully.Mortgage Free 23 December 2020

Not much going on here, overpayment or general life wise. Work is full on so I'm not doing much else, not that we can at the moment anyway. I'm still waiting for BT to refund the extra from the bill into our account so I can divide it up and pay into pots. I wanted £6 extra on PA and I'm at £6.47 with £2.47 still pending, I've done two more surveys this evening as well. I'll wait to transfer the money untill the phone refund comes in.
I had a tiny spend today bt from my funds not joint funds. Lidl was supposed to have rhododendrons in a few weeks ago but our branch didn't seem to get any. I had to pop in today for something for schooling they had them so I bought 2 white ones. I'm trying to get more perennial plants into the garden. I might give one to my MIL it just depends how I feel.Mortgage Free 23 December 2020
