There has been at least four new threads recently regarding claims from Premier Parking Logistics. These claims relate to PCN's that were issued in very badly maintained car parks in central Birmingham

Two relate to failure of the ticket machine to issue a ticket for the correct amount even though the correct amount was paid. This happened in two different car parks and it is quite a coincidence. Either the machines have a design fault or there is a scam. Jimsnap  dvdccd

One relates to a faulty ticket machine where the display was broken. Emmagijane

One relates to a car park that looks like a bomb site with pot holes etc. On the day in question it had been raining heavily and the white line (at the end of the row of cars) was covered by water. Worcestermum

With regard to the above claims all the drivers had paid the correct tariff for parking.

IMO it would be an idea for the four posters to write a WS for each other regarding the state of these car parks and the failure of the PPC to maintain them properly. This failure to maintain the car parks properly has resulted in all four of these drivers receiving a PCN even though they had paid the full tariff.

Paradoxically PPC's make money out of providing a poor service to their customers. In fact they don't see motorists as customers they see them as a cash cow. I think that this grubby little ex clamper is pushing his luck.

If you suspect that parking equipment was not properly maintained insist that the PPC produce documentation to disprove this.

You never know how far you can go until you go too far.
  • Hi Snakes Belly yes I agree and more then happy to do that! I have just received my questionnaire from the court. Do I need to post a copy to the court on the letter and also a copy to the legal team acting on his behalf? I can’t do it via email to the court? I did read the newbie thread but couldn’t see anything specific about how to send it

These questions are best asked on your own thread, but you have already had the answers in that list you were following when you filed your Defence.

I'm happy to help with this, although my only complaint is about the machine, I think the general picture is of a sloppy, money-grabbing operation

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD
  • That is awful. PPL must be top of the leader board when it comes down to poorly kept car parks.

The posters mentioned in this post that have received PCN's from this company need to collaborate with each other by PM when their witness statements are due. Several cases are very similar and there are two very bad car parks (waterlogged and graffiti) and three machine failures two of which eat pound coins.

Personally, I would bring this signage to the attention of the  ATA and Trading Standards.
