I think this thread is going nowhere until you provide the full details of your forecast.
35 years doesn't apply as you are transitional rules so without the full breakdown the impact (or lack of it) is all guesswork.3 -

You need to continue to contribute National Insurance to reach your forecast
Estimate based on your National Insurance record up to 5 April 2020£126.54 a weekForecast if you contribute until 5 April 2023£141.56 a weekYou can improve your forecast
You have shortfalls in your National Insurance record that you can fill and make count towards your State Pension.
The most you can increase your forecast to is£175.20 a weekYou have:
- 25 years of full contributions
- 3 years to contribute before 5 April 2023
- 21 years when you did not contribute enough
You did not make any contributions this year
It’s too late to pay for this year. You can usually only pay for the last 6 years.

I joined Ford as a graduate in 1987 and stayed ten years.I wasn't contracted out. They will be paying my occupational pension
I would be surprised if 1987 - 97 the Ford Pension Scheme were not a Contracted Out Salary Related Pension Scheme.
OP, do you have a Statement of Deferred Benefits from your time at Fords?
If so, does it show pre 88 GMP
Post 88 GMP
Excess?
