Hi Fapflop,
Sorry to hear you felt unwell this morning, perhaps this spate of rather cold weather just hasn't helped!
Great news that those pesky cling'er on'ers will be gone on next payday!
It is disappointing that RBS doesn't allow greater flexibility with the management of the loan repayments, perhaps one to avoid in the distant future?!
If you believe you can, you will. If you believe you can't, you won't.

@MrFrugalFever Yes, although ideally I would avoid all loans in the future.
I have just realised that if I can pay off what I plan to pay off next month then I should be very close to having cleared 30% of the debt. That would be a nice milestone to reach.Total debt at peak 2021 = £38931

Yes 30% is certainly a great achievement!
It's a marathon not a sprint, when you get stuck in to the bigger debts it may, at times, feel a bit tiresome and drag but you have to stay strong and continue with your journey, time will pass and you WILL see the fruits of your labour before you know it!If you believe you can, you will. If you believe you can't, you won't.

I am worried about that. Paying off these little ones is motivating but some of those bigger ones look like buggers. I am hoping that the % will help. When it seems like £ and pennies aren't changing at least the % paid off will be increasing.Total debt at peak 2021 = £38931

It could be a slog, but I think once you have stopped adding to the debt and you have everything on 0% or a low interest it can only go down. You'll have a debt free date and that can only move closer.
Then you can move the debt to the back of your mind and it will just tick down. Or you can ebay and save money where you can and pay more towards it.
Hope you feel better soon.0 -
Bit of expenditure today. Its a friends birthday tomorrow so card, cash and wine. Also went to tesco because DS is off school this week so needed to buy some child friendly lunches and treats. SO isn't sleeping and is unbearable so piriton and sleeping tablets for him. He's stressed about how much he owes me which is so little and I'm not bothered about getting it back which I've told him but he does worry himself into a daft stupor. So all in all today has been quite expensive, sadly. No plans for tomorrow though but I think I'm going to make a real effort to use what we have in the house before buying food. We have more than plenty and I don't want it to go to waste. I just need to take time, sit down and meal plan. Thats tonight and tomorrow's goal.Total debt at peak 2021 = £38931

I think there is good reason to justify your expenditure today.Money worries can bring many emotions and cause significant mental health issues that’s for sure.
i too had a week or so last month whereby I got creative with using up what was left in the cupboards, my slow cooker has been my best friend of late!I have 9 days til I get paid and £30 left, technically I should be spending it (what?!! Being in the IVA means I ideally need to spend it), however I think I am going to put it in my EF, which I can have in the IVA.If you believe you can, you will. If you believe you can't, you won't.

@MrFrugalFever its a good idea. Someone said that there's probably hundreds of £££ in my cupboards and freezer and they're right, of course. Let's do it. I'll update my diary with our weird onion rings, sprouts, flank steak and pasta dishes.Total debt at peak 2021 = £38931

I look forward to your creativity, no doubt it will get more flamboyant as the days go on! I too will be utilising the food in my cupboards over next 9 days so I can put the money in EF, I shall let you know if it gets silly!
i am starting tonight off with chilli con carne. If you believe you can, you will. If you believe you can't, you won't.

Good morning, good morning, good morning. I had my first Covid jab this morning. I'm very excited to be able to give my mum a hug one day. We are going to have the biggest BBQ when we can and I cannot wait.
I started looking through AllRecipesUK this morning. I really like that website. I sent myself lots of recipes but mostly for cakes. I visited the Fair Share larder yesterday and we were given two packs of Dominos shredded chicken. I guess I can use that in a pasta bake? I'll need to check whether it is spicy or not, I don't want to set DS mouth on fire. He's okay with mild spice like a tikka but not much more than that.
I still haven't collected my heated blanket although typically it is not nearly as cold as it was last week. I don't know if we're due more cold weather but I wonder if I can leave it until November time. Could be an extra £30 towards the Paypal balance? Maybe just use a hot water bottle if it gets nippy during spring.
Plans for today? None really. I found a recipe for school chocolate concrete which I remember from school but always thought it was just a bad but delicious brownie. I think I will make that. We also have loads of tinned peaches so I might make a cobbler too.
Debt-wise, no sales yesterday so not much I can do there. We're edging towards payday which is very exciting. Get that Paypal cleared then start tackling the big ones.Total debt at peak 2021 = £38931
