If you are a customer you should get an email inviting you to participate I think.

Is there a thread or section on this site for referral codes for people to use and sign up with; you know the type, both parties get a reward, reward to recommender and one for the person recommended? Couldn't see a section.

I started the referrer thread for Green Energy a while back however they removed the referrer section. Pity, I had a few people signing up from my honest recommendations....

I'm a little bit concerned by the increasing amount of negative reviews on Trustpilot. Is there a general MSE thread about Green.Energy? They're rather slow responding to emails (I haven't tried any of the other methods of contacting them up to now) and I suppose they may be victims of their own success just at the moment with a massive increase in customer numbers I expect.

The negative reviews tend to be left from people who don't provide regular meter readings each month or as most often the case, didn't enter their usage when getting initial quote then freak out when the get asked to pay what they actually used (!). When I waded through all the Trustpilot reviews on Green, I looked at most of them however disregarded the idiot posters with an axe to grind and looked for factual posts to see if there was actually anything to be put off by - wasn't, so signed up at the time; no regrets.I've been with them for a few months now; change from Scottish Power (yes, I was one of those YE customers) went perfectly and smoothly, meter readings were migrated correctly (as I gave them when asked to, which some people don't), billing has had no issues, tariff rates charged correctly; all pretty excellent.Don't email them unless you're prepared to wait up to 4 weeks for a reply (!), the chat i've never used as it isn't a quick link to it, i've only had cause to speak to them twice and that is what i've done - phoned them. They reply to the phone quickly, just a few minutes and resolved the queries on the spot. Frankly, phone I always prefer anyway as you get things resolved quickly and without anbiguity on the query they are responding to. In contrast, Scottish Power pale in comparison with the good service from Green Energy, IMO. No energy company is great, let's be honest about it, however to pick from the awful out of the ok suppliers, i'm happy with my choice and experience with Green Energy.I started a thread here in the referral section and gave my discount code for people to save money if they signed up, however the forum decided to remove the referral section and all those threads from the site.UPDATE - @ fewkeste - found the linky to the "experiences with Green" thread going back 2 years, as you'd asked if there was one: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6011769/green-reviews-add-your-feedback/p1

@Bacman - thanks for the link. I think I came across that thread by chance last night actually. I think I've subscribed to it in addition to this thread. Like you I was a YE customer SOLR ported over to the awful Scottish Power and then escaped to Green on the Lamont tariff. I have experienced increasingly large delays getting responses to my emails, but amazingly they answered the phone incredibly quickly on Green Monday when I decided to pre-pay £1200 into my account!!! On 22nd June I sent an email asking for my XS credit to be returned (my £1200 plus the £120 interest) but as yet I've not received a response. I'm not too concerned at present - I expect they're super busy just at the moment but I may well ring them soon if there's no response in the near future.

I'm on the Lamont tariff too, the window for that rate was short however got on it and the rates are as good as YE's were, and on a 2 year fixed rate too; nice!As mentioned, not worth emailing them, just pick up the phone. I've called them twice, first time as I recall it took about 12 minutes before they answered and second time about 2 minutes - quick by electricity company standards. I think if I recall they are open 7am-11pm for phoning.1

I took your advice and rang them. I got through in 10 minutes, arranged a credit refund, adjusted my direct debit back up and got confirmation there will be more Green Monday events in the future. Last time I pre-paid £1200 - the next time I might just go to the maximum of £5K.
