So sorry you are going through this, its reads like the exact story of what happened to my brother in law, but his ex went one stage further and he ended up on bail, tagged, he ended up in court on spurious charges of assault, which were eventually thrown out as she failed to turn up or engage with police ( as she knew she could not lie in court)

 After that she then stated contact re the children which he foolishly engaged in, which escalated to nasty texts, he totally ignored his solicitors advice (which he know admits was stupid) and with all the woe is her she was awarded 88% of the home, then had to go back to court to get access, which she stops and starts depending on her mood, she also reduced her hours for benefit purposes whilst enjoying his CMS of over £500 per month.

Don't get me wrong I believe any male or female in an abusive relationship has the right to have the weight of the law behind them, but honestly after reading the police notes attending court and what happened, saddens me that people will go to these lengths rather than just call it a day.

All I can say is stay calm (yes I know your hurt and want to see your children) but do not give her any ammunition, because she will use it, my ex sil even dragged my in laws into it, my husband and myself. Document everything, also are both houses in joint names if not register an Interest with Land registry
