Can I email them and say he no longer lives at this address but in america or does it have to be him.
I have said TWICE that it has to be him and I made it clear to stop you doing it...
Can I ask why as I cant get hold of him and a message above has said I can write to say he no longer is at this address and is living abroad and suggest that I can get help with this letter.
Look, yes you are a third party but if you cannot contact your son to do this, you will get more harassment from these critters.
Bottom line is that CST are currently all mouth and no trousers so whether they ignore you or not is irrelevant ... they are being told. This is no different to an appeal to POPLA, if you don't try you will never know.

Had you not yet thought of creating an email account in his name and emailing as him?  Please don't word it wrong and put it from you.

However you would need to prove your address in the USA of course and how would 'you' do that, what attachments (like bills/rental proof of address) do you have?  See what we mean?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

If they are savvy, creating an email address will show the IP address which will be UK.
If the email address can be sent then he can email from the US which would show a US IP address

I think, is the son in the USA on business ?  If so how does his company contact him.
If not, and there is no service address all parties are dealing with the invisible man

The "email address" will not have a  UK IP address...by definition...and an email will not have the originating IP anyway.

Of course it would not show the uk if sent from the USA
All emails can be tracked unless VPN is used
When you go to the source of an email, it shows the IP address of the sender.
That's the location and if the law wants to go further, they then go to the service provider

If sent through a web service such as gmail, the originating IP will be from gmails available IP range

An interesting thought and yes web mail with google does hide the senders IP
Anyone can source widely available tools to achieve this.
And for those who use their web mail account via Outlook or Thunderbird, the computer IP address is shown. Google already have that as do the service provider
  • Because you are a third party, they will ignore you and issue a claim to him because they haven't heard from him.

Revolver is crap when it comes to parking charges.   Stop flailing around looking for a template Revolver reply.

Yes it has some connection to Martin Lewis but he is also (sadly) wrong with his 'advice' about parking charges.   Really badly wrong, embarrassingly so and at huge cost to victims who seek out the rubbish he has said in recent years (so don't).
Notice of recovery now from dcbl.. Says14 days to pay. back of letter small writting it says case is not subject to high court or bailiff action...
Can't contact son so basically it will I presume go to court

A 14 day letter is just a debt recovery letter.  Take no notice of the bailiff stuff, it's all designed to scare. It has not even gone to court yet.   DCBL thrive on that daft TV programme "can't pay, we'll take it away"  ......... total rubbish

Unless they are told, it will go to court.   THEY MUST BE TOLD and even if they don't believe you, there is a paper trail they have been told.  Judges are not amused by legals who ignore people and DCBL don't really have a good track record with the courts with parking scams

These things will keep appearing, until it's too late, then your son will have considerably greater problems than he has now. You must get him to involve himself.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
