Amazon changes the consumer rules

In simple terms.

The seller is the retailer and the retailer is subject to Consumer Rights laws in their country.

Amazon is the platform you purchased from and if you didn't buy from Amazon themselves then the only help they offer is their A-Z resolution.  They do not offer a warranty.

The warranty is generally with the manufacturer.  

If you buy a Bosch oven from Amazon, the warranty is with Bosch.  Your consumer rights with Amazon.  If you buy from Kitchens Are Better With Us who sell on Amazon, then your consumer rights are with Kitchens ABWU, you have additional rights with Amazon A-Z (offered not required by law) by Amazon and Warranty with Bosch. 

Your warranty rights are subject to the T&C of that warranty.  If the warranty requires you to stand on one leg and call them on a can of baked beans, then that is the warranty.

Your consumer rights, are the cr that the country of the seller legislates.

Any additional protection, A-Z  is exactly that, additional protection.
