Good morning!
Hugs to Narc0 and Mademoiselle, and anyone else that needs one. I'm glad you have heating now Narc0! One less thing to worry about.
I woke up late (not working today). Faffed about on my phone for a bit, and then got up, did a little Hiit workout, showered and dressed. I have had breakfast, checked the bank accounts and updated my phone. I also put some bleach in the upstairs toilet.
Round 1
Brush hair
Book carpet cleaner
Remove 1 item from to do list.....it may help to get me started!
Deal with email from council (yes, another one!)
The kitten is sitting next me, happily humping the fluffy sofa throw, so I may also phone the vets!
Have a good day everyone!6 -
Morning. May as well just cut and paste my updates. Work done for today, DH has been to docs and we got fresh fruit from the farm on way home. Dailies are almost done. It's pouring with rain and we're on some kind of alert because we have two rivers flowing through the village. Will try to report back with progress later.Spend less now, work less later.7

I am full of snots today.. I feel like my brains are about to dribble out.. I blew my nose, put the kitchen roll down and Percy leaped on the roll to shred it!!! I am a bit fed up of blowing my nose on doilies!! lol
I must wash the hallway carpet.. Hazel has whizzed all over it, repeatedly and the smell is bad.. really bad.. May have to wait until DS1 is up though.. the other 2 I'm not fussed about disturbing tbh.I need to run top coat over my nails as they still feel a bit rough and look a bit dull. My favourite top coat ran out and it was from Superdrug and I don't need anything else right now so refuse to pay the delivery charge. I wonder if Tesc0 do the same brand. OH is being sent to T later as my cupboards are bare.. I need fruit and veg and meat and fish and actual food. We have a ton of pasta but no sauce, millions of bean but no 'oops (I always call them oops because thats what you say when they fall on your shirt while eating them) a hula hoop is a hoop.we need cat filler, they ate the last of the meat blob last night and we have very few biscuits left.
My house is such a bear pit but between class zoom calls, online music lessons and dailies I'm getting nothing done.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)7 -
Just back from a short but brisk walk, 35 minutes as OH has meeting all day with just an hour for lunch.
I've done my handicap training this morning and really found some of it very interesting, how to teach people with different difficulties was helpful.
I haven't spent anything since Friday and I think we will last until the end of the week. Although I have told DD2 I will buy her a set of headphones tomorrow as the sales start today (I bought her sister some at the end of November and had promised them but she made do with OHs until the end of term and so going to hopefully save some money in the sales). Need some more booze for OH too.7 -
Round 1 done, plus I have some butternut squash & garlic roasting to make some soup for lunch, bleach squirted in downstairs toilet and WMx1
Round 2
TD
Empty DW
Make soup
Scrub toilets & basins
Open bedroom window
Lunch
Towel wash in WM
I have spoken to DD2 - she was underwhelmed with the flat. I looked up the details and I agree with her. It has estuary views and really close to the station for commuting, hence the high price. But as it is a flat, and not that large, there is little potential for improvement. Also neither of them commute, so the rail link is wasted and the trains run past right outside! BF is all about location (his parents' influence), but this is not right for them.

Dailies done, dogs walked, sofas cleaned and clean covers put on again. Hoovered upstairs. Replied to emails. Booked optician appointments. Washing up to date. And that's me done for the day and nothing crossed off the list.Spend less now, work less later.8

Mademoiselle said:Sadly my best friend's mum died yesterday evening, not expected but glad it was quick as her dad suffered alzheimers and it went on for years. Feel so helpless I can't be there for her, but so many of you are in the same situation.
Full of plans today and achieved most:
- wudupa so exciting to turn the tap on and hot water come out!
- tidied and wiped kitchen surfaces
- cut Mr N's hair
- swept kitchen floor; a useful side effect of having done the above.
- we both watched the presentation on planning a new town (no it is not 7 'villages' - it is a town, whatever the planners might say) in our area. Yawn and horror. Reviewed suggested comments and modified the a bit, submitted to council.
- posted a letter and continued on a walk.
- looked up some drum terminology/music styles.
- prepared tomorrow's lesson for Zoom student.
I'm sure there was something else I had intended to do, but I'm pleased with the things I did do. Oh yes it was hoovering the hall; probably easy to rectify this evening.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.8 -
Narco get you with your fancy heating and hot water. Such luxury.
I am feeling a bit out of sorts, not sleeping great which doesnt help. Full day at the paid stuff, utility room and office dusted and hoovered, surfaces wiped down, shopping received and put away. Dhal and rice for tea, DH and DS had chicken curry made with a jar of sauce. Very very wet here, some local roads are flooded.
DH has cut DSs hair. DS's hair has grown back a bit patchy after the chemo and looks better short but he is very fussy about it. DH has so much patience and was calm while DS was getting stressed. I left them to it.
Wont be late to bed, will try and get a little yoga done.

I've not had any motivation this week to do the tidying.
Monday was a horrible evening, yesterday was a day off work & spent it with the hubs who took a much needed mental health day off too.
Today I tried to catch up on some things.
- S&S Kitchen
-wipe and door handles for Kitchen
- Put out new hand and tea towels.
- Wipe down all cupboard and drawer fronts on the outside and the handles
- Clean hob
- I wash my cloths and reuse them so I did that load of washing this morning
- Placed a new fruit bowl out for new apples
- Put most washing up away; most of the cutlery was still in it's drying holder & will put away tomorrow
- Wiped draining board & placed new towel ontop (there's a dent in the middle where the water puddles and gets gross)
- Vacuumed living room
- tidied living room with minor help from the hubs
______________________________________________
I also had my first mental health session which was hard hitting but needed.
but today was stressful...My headset for work broke, the ones i used to get me through the day was crap and i broke a phone charger lead as the usb bit got stuck in the plug and the other bit was detached from it
So now I'm about to take a nice hot shower, PJ's on , go on Animal Crossing with my sister & watch a film with hubs.
Hope the rest of you have had a better day
Hugs to those who needs them as well8 -
