That really is some way off - late summer/autumn time. There's a lot of water to go under the bridge before then. You have more work to do in the spring so don't fall asleep on this. CP Plus have been extremely reluctant litigants in the 8 years I've been advising here, there's no guarantee that it will change, so let's see how it all plays out.littlepea1 said:Thank you all. Defence submitted. I must say I'm quite daunted by the telephone process reading through the thread, and the seemingly significant amount of extra preparation and time it will take to get to where I need to be for this. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

It's either do it yourself or pay a solicitor a lot of money to do it for you , an uneconomic proposition but entirely true to mentionlittlepea1 said:Thank you all. Defence submitted. Better to grow a set so pitch in to do it yourself with assistance from here , you have several months to prepare4

Top tip, though, is to start your preparation now, while it is still fresh in your mind. Read the NEWBIE "know what happens when" link so you are ready for the DQ (N180) and you could start pulling together your witness statement.Redx said:

Start now., It is only daunting because youre thinking about all of it at once. Once you get reading up on other peoples experiences you realise its straightforward3

Cheers guys. All great advice. I will get started on things. The money they were asking for really isn't worth the time this will take in my case...but once I re-visited the site and realised just how much of a scam this is, it has turned into a matter of principle. All good life experience anyway I guess. Appreciate all of your continued help.4

Exactly! It is all good practice. Its part of being an adult as well - standing up for what is right.
You may win, you may lose, but you have gained overall.2

Happy Saturday all. After some great advice I emailed Ken McMeiken of MOTO. He replied this morning with the following:
Firstly, apologies for the delay in replying to you.I have asked to the parking notice to be cancelled and believe that this has now happened.I hope we can look forward to your continued custom at Moto in the future.Kind regards,Ken McMeikan
On the surface of things this seems like great news. What do I need to do now to confirm that the PCN has been cancelled, and the claim dropped?2

            Great news
Wait and see if a DQ is posted to you from the CCBC , or not , checking online first plus checking post too
Meantime you may hear from the claimant or their solicitors , hopefully with a discontinuance letter
Keep all paperwork safe , so watch and wait , for now !!
If anything happens at all , come back and tell us , ask us if necessary , do not sit wondering what to do with anything
It's not over until the lady sings !! As in this thread3

you need to inform cp plus and there legal team that the landowner no longer wishes to proceed , continue as if nothing has happened as regards court , you must continue to fight until there legals pull the case
do not take there word for it , you need letter from court2

I have just had a very similar case. You just have to wait for the cancellation letter from CP Plus (mine arrived in 3 days) and then later you will get a 'notice of discontinuance' of the court case from DCB Legal (mine took about a 8/9 days).
Obviously if they don't arrive get straight back on to Moto again. You can also keep checking with the court if it has been discontinued.4
