    ^^^^^^^^^^ Hey Max2010,

Just emphasising @NBLondon's comment - if that's your own retail product key in the screenshot, you need to remove it from public view in case someone else uses it.

I'd hoped Norton staff would manage to get your antivirus activated for you but it looks like they're in a deadlock because the retail licence you bought came with strings attached (i.e. automatic renewal which requires these details).

I can see you have concerns about how the data is being processed and shared but as I'm out of my depth with legal stuff, I just hope you can get things sorted out.

Nope they have just given 30 days when I have paid for a year ! We are on day 25  As you can see this has 26 days to run and is part of 30  days not my licence . This is all they have done so far was to give 30 days free use on the 21st January 2021.

There has been no response from Data Protection Commission C -21-1-292 Liam P. Cannon in Ireland which is unbelievable since January 13th 2021.
There has been nothing supplied from Banking sector or Norton to allow its processing of VISA / DEBIT banks cards security or personal information .They were not registered on the relative website    11 January 2021  https://ico.org.uk/about-the-ico/what-we-do/register-of-fee-payers/.  You ca check for yourselves

What would be the point of them trying  LOL it doesnt work anyway and wont work to register it in 25 days.

Glad to hear they've set up a temporary 30-day licence for you, although I thought they originally offered you 12 months free? At least your computer is protected for the moment.

Well, Max, your paid licence would've worked, like mine did, if you'd followed all the required steps, but it definitely won't work for you now if someone else has registered it into their account! (Admittedly, they could be traced but that's another complication you could do without.)

Yeah, I sometimes run into that sort of problem ... Having already paid for the product (or accepted their 1 year free trial)  many a web site will refuse to accept Registration / Activate the trial without a valid Credit Card no.
To get around this,  give them that well known 'dummy' Visa Card 4111 1111 1111 1111 ... since they don't have my real name / email address or phone number I won't get bothered at the end of the year either ....

Max my advice to you is to get rid of Norton, completely get rid of it and get yourself a free anti virus.
