It is now 4 years since I have been and I can’t wait as I normally did 1-2 trips per year. Unfortunately my 2019 trip was cancelled as I had an accident and wasn’t allowed to fly for half a year and then covid came along!!

I usually get the bus to close by the main car rental place. But then, we usually stay off strip and use the local bus system for part of the trip. It’s not for everyone.1

rent a car with pickup at the Mccarren centre, its the better option for choice (as the hotels hold cars, but not as much choice)...
Use say: skyscanner, or kayak cars, to give you some pointers on what car type you are looking for, then just look at the names of the brokers to see who your happy with and the price..
Booking on the UK sites 99% come with the insurances we need, booking on US websites dont....
I use brokers like:
Auto-Europe (sometimes the rates are real good, then sometimes just average)
Holiday Autos (slow to refund, but still do same job as the others)
GotRentalCars (part of BSP-Auto) - i used them last month for an Avis rental, take with a pinch of salt...
Book direct with the rental firms UK websites, although can work out more if not using discount codes, etc
If fighting fit, walk from the strip to the rental place, in 45c heat, wont take long!
Or catch the SDX (bus) down to south outlet mall, as rental place is 2 mins from there

Thanks all for the car hire help. In the past I have collected the car from the Mirage and Treasure Island when they were Dollar and had a uk site and then the last couple of trips from the Cosmo. If the airport is cheaper then I’ll guess I’ll pick up from there. I’m not too fussed about choice of car. As long as it has wheels and aircon that’s about all I care about (especially after a summer in Greece last year when I was given what appeared to be a 10 year old micra with barely any aircon and nowhere to plug my phone in).1

Is there such a thing as a website that uses package sites like Expedia, where you can get prices for a trip across a whole month?
Essentially, what Skyscanner or Google Flights does, but for package deals?
It's tedious doing a new search when you're just changing the date by a day, or a week.0 -
Hope some one can help
I am sure this has been asked before. re MGM Rewards Comp rooms. Can we do the following
wife 2 night comp room Mirage + me 3 night comp room Mirage + wife 2 night comp Mirage. ie we stay a whole week.
If we can do this can we keep the same room if we booked the same room type. Can we sort it out at initial check in or do we need to keep check in out and back in
Could we keep doing this for 2 weeks
Could we also add on MyVegas comp rooms if that make sense .
Has anyone tried matching Royal Caribbean status to get Gold MGM Reward so that resort fees are waived. Do you keep the MGM Gold status or to they take it away and you have to match again each trip.

There's defo a mandated 'break' you need to take between consecutive groups of comp nights you are offered (as an individual - your wifes comps will be treated separately if she has her own membership) - I think the time gap is 72 hours for MGM properties
MyVegas comp rooms can also be thrown in the mix , but if you are staying in the same hotel, I think you can only redeem once per person
From my experience, they should be able to link all bookings together so you keep the same room.
Re: the Status Match, I would expect it stays for the natural life of your MGM status tier. I would be very surprised if it wasn't1 -
i just got back from Vegas today, am super knackered!!
I'll do a trip report soon with some pics
unlike last month where i came back with $3300, today i came back with a pack of peanuts! gambling wasn't my friend!!!
Hellion - if your able to book a comp offer for 3 nights, and your wife can get a comp for 2 nights, and you can both book these same comp offers twice or more, you can do what you need, but you need to leave 72hrs between comp's, so you would need to pay for 1 night inbetween...
Keeping same room is easy, once desk clerk see's teh bookings, they will probably ask you to pop to the desk on the morning of the new booking.. I've done this in 2018.....
myVegas room rewards - can only be used once within a 30 day window.....
You could do a long break, with adding 1 or 2 paid nights into the mix.....
I've just got back today, from 11nts comp , 4 Delano, 3 DTG, 4 Luxor..
Tier status = reset's each year, always has.
If you earned 20k tier credits in 1yr, u become Pearl, but if u dont maintain the tier credit's, u reset.
I was Platinum, and in Oct 2019, i reset to Pearl, as i was 4k short of the tier credits needed to maintain at least Gold status!
With the recent change from Mlife to Rewards, and new tier setup in Feb, i was reset to Sapphire! and it feels a longer setup now to earn tier credits from gambling!
I am back to Pearl, but when it comes to comp's, status counts for nothing (casino money spent is what counts).

Just wondered if anyone has seen any decent “things to do” offers kicking around on Groupon / Travelzoo etc lately?
Conscious that Vegas doesn’t really seem to need to try very hard for customers at the moment, but you never know! 🙂1
