  • Hello all,

Has anyone stayed at the Venetian/Palazzo Resort and also Aria?

I'm a long time Palazzo person (after the odd stay at MGM Grand and Luxor), however I have a friend that is staying at Aria on an upcoming trip and I am looking at opinions between the two resorts please?

If you're there for long enough, split your stay over both hotels, and enjoy the two?

Do you mean you're staying at the same time as your friend?

I'll be staying in Vegas at the same time as my friend.

Trying to get a view on Aria both on it's own merits and in comparison to the Palazzo.

have stayed at both, standard rooms better at Palazzo, both are good though.

My last stay at Aria was 4 weeks ago no issues,  Not sure what your question is though, are you thinking of staying at Aria at same time as friend, if so , do it, why stay somewhere different unless you dont really like said friend

It's more, does Aria have a wow factor? (compared to the Palazzo)

I like my friend but equally I am very comfortable at the Palazzo as it has everything I would want

I've been heavily researching the Aria the last few weeks so it's not a case that I am blind on the property but wanted to get another opinion hence my question here.

I'm gonna invest some time & money in Video Poker this trip, see if i can get lucky on 1 of those machines.
I got the Hendricks Camero booked with Hertz on the 26th, looking forward to a nice 5hr drive in a big circle! :D
They say on average you will hit a Royal once every 40,000 spins. I've been playing VP for probably 20 years, every night in Vegas and have never hit one. Probably millions of spins.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

We stayed at both on our trip in May, although Palazzo was one night, with 8 at the Aria. It all really comes down to what you enjoy. Aria rooms are quite a bit smaller, and nowhere near as WOW as Palazzo. However, Aria remains our "go to" hotel. Partly due to the casino and proximity to other properties, but I also find regardless of strip or no strip view, it is still nice. And I do love the bed/pillows at the Aria. It also feels a bit smaller overall.

However, as a disclaimer, we generally play in MGM properties and enjoy the status benefits from that.

Not sure if this is what you are looking for?

After what seems like an eternity I am back and I have booked Vegas for August!!

It is now 4 years since I have been and I can’t wait as I normally did 1-2 trips per year. Unfortunately my 2019 trip was cancelled as I had an accident and wasn’t allowed to fly for half a year and then covid came along!!

I do need some help though. As it is so long since I’ve been I have no idea which websites I used to book car hire and what I need to ensure is included in the price. I don’t want to pick up at the airport as I’d prefer to collect the day after I arrive. Any recommendations of websites to use and where to pick up either on strip or a short Uber away?
