feeling sad this morning, just cancelled my April flights ( had a good price for PE on Virgin and a great car hire price , so it sucks to cancel) should originally been August last year. I now have no flights or trip planned to Vegas for the first time in about 20 years.  Hope to rebook as soon as it’s safe and Vegas is back to normal
That's a shame. Sad when a good plan is ruined, but this year is starting to look like another write off for holidays. With new quarantine restrictions, and no indication of when they'll be lifted, I think it could be a while.

Hopefully things start to improve soon and that we see some indication the vaccine is going to get us out of this soon.

Praise for Delta who have refunded my flight within a week of requesting it, I had to go through Delta as they issued my original ticket for August last year, I paid a fair difference to Air France for rescheduled  April’s Virgin flight of £90 a head which I am still trying to get back as AF says it’s not them.  I also received a car hire refund from Alamo within a day of requesting, so out of almost £2000 paid I have it all back bar £180 . I thought I would be waiting months
  • Has anyone been watching Pompsie on youtube? Might give you a Vegas fix while we can't travel. He was live at Linq Promenade last Saturday night, although the lack of social distancing and mask wearing did surprise me a bit. He has been reviewing hotels, some of it is quite interesting. Ballys, for example, has been refurbished and their standard rooms were quite nice.

He also stays at the Plaza in a recent video. He ate in the steakhouse with the big curved window overlooking Fremont Street. We ate there a few times many years ago when it was an Italian restaurant. We rarely go downtown nowadays though.

Yes,  I've watched his videos for a while, he's pretty good.
Another blogger I've just started watching is a guy called Bob Dingo. He's a big Australian guy reviewing various places with his mother, and does a lot on cheap places to eat. They are quite funny and say it how it is.

The place at the Plaza is Oscars, worst meal and service in Vegas we ever had
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

All I watch on TV is Vegas YouTubers :D
Pompsie, Dale McKenzie, Jacobslifeinvegas, Bob Dingo, Bill and Lisa, Skeleton88, Yellow Productions.

Can't stand Turn It Up World, not keen on All You Can Vegas, Bror Frederik... Can't make my mind up on Travel Ruby...

@stoneman sorry to hear you had a bad experience at Oscars... It's definitely on our list for when we go.

Going back to Vegas after a long absence .
we cancelled our wedding in Vegas after my best friend who was coming with us died unexpectedly and I didn’t have the heart to rebook there so we got married in Florida instead.
I think this must be about version 7 of this trip it has changed so often but we have now settled on a few days at Vero Beach then fly across to Arizona , visit family , Grand Canyon, Lake Havasu , Laughlin then onto Vegas in September. Currently booked at the Orleans but that is very provisional.
Not the relaxing cruise we’d first planned but I’m looking forward to it .
