this thread is still under construction ...

Las Vegas unlike nearly every other holiday destination you may have visited. This thread is in reference to https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6087584/las-vegas-guide-and-mse-thread-2020/p1/ where you find more useful information to Las Vegas.

    :D
    Should have started 2022 thread ! :D
Only kidding, i got my hopes up, as got June & September booked, just had our Jan Dominican holiday cancelled, rebooked with BA for 6th march to go Dominican to stay in Hard rock casino hotel , that got cancelled on friday !
    grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr !!!
  • Last September after coming out of first lockdown I started looking at May/June this - then the second wave happened - so started to look at November or pre Christmas. Nothing officially booked but I think (with what is happening in Vegas and U.S. in general) it will be 2022 at the earliest.
Who knows by then I might get a direct flight from Manchester (I can dream>?)
All I know for sure is that at some stage in my life before I go gaga I will return!

Yeah I'm thinking similar... Probably looking at Spring 2022 for a Vegas trip. We like going for the sunshine and pools, though have never been at Christmas time, which could be fun if that's a possibility. Though we like a warm sunny holiday, so at best I think we'd be looking at an Oct/Nov trip to somewhere like Dubai (at least they have Cheesecake Factory!) then Vegas in 2022.
Trying not to make myself feel sad about looking so far ahead, but what can you do :) I certainly don't want to go somewhere 'just because I can', I want to have an enjoyable relaxing break.

Yes we changed last years to this summer (2nd change) but that also looks to be slowly going out the window. If it's not happening in the summer we will change to spring 2022

  • Oh well, I've bitten the bullet and booked flights for the end of October.
I had a few miles in my Virgin account, and with the promo code that ends tomorrow, we are going to LA in Premium for £404.
Will book the connecting flights with Southwest when they are available.
Got to have something to look forward to, and at least booking direct we can change the flights up to Dec 22.

A combination of the recent sale prices , an additional £50 off all Premium flights voucher code and about 25,000 miles from my Virgin account.
Quite happy with that price, now just the wait to see if we can finally go, got to get my Vegas fix sometime this year, would  normally go towards the end of this month.

The code was on the Virgin Atlantic site over the weekend, available for all destinations in Premium.
Hopefully you'll get there in May, like I said, you have to have something to look forward to.👍

feeling sad this morning, just cancelled my April flights ( had a good price for PE on Virgin and a great car hire price , so it sucks to cancel) should originally been August last year. I now have no flights or trip planned to Vegas for the first time in about 20 years.  Hope to rebook as soon as it’s safe and Vegas is back to normal
