Ask them for proof that YOU cancelled?#2 Saving for Christmas 2024 - £1 a day challenge. £325 of £3661

Get in touch with Jet2 and see what's going on? It's more than likely an admin error. They've cancelled the flight but the wrong comms have been sent?1

It sounds like a communication misunderstanding. What exactly does the email say?
It is Jet2 that have cancelled all flying and holidays until 25 March due to the pandemic and recent U.K. travel restrictions. Details on their website. You will be refunded.0 -
FYI - from the Jet2 website;
“Due to the ongoing uncertainty caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and government travel restrictions, we’ve taken the decision to extend the suspension of all flights up to and including 25 March 2021. Please note, our flights to Iceland are suspended up to and including 26 April 2021.
If you’ve been affected by these programme changes, we’ll be automatically cancelling your booking with a full refund.
If you’re due to travel from 26 March 2021 onwards, we’ll provide an update closer to the time.
Nobody wants customers to be on holiday enjoying themselves more than we do, and we’re looking forward to resuming our award-winning flights. In the meantime, we’d like to thank you for your patience and understanding.”

Thanks all. I did notice tonight they had cancelled my flight. However me mail said"Further to your recent enquiry, please find attached documentation in relation to the cancellation of your flight booking.
The attached documents show cancellation confirmations per person per flight. We hope to be able to welcome you on board in the future."
I didn't enquire about cancelling flight!!

Have you had your money back? That’s the important bit.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -

Possibly the first part saying “Further to your recent enquiry” is a template error if you have not previously contacted them. No reference to you requesting the cancellation though. The rest of the text would be fitting with notification of a cancellation. I expect they needed to mass email thousands of people, perhaps trying to do so before people started to call them.
Sorry that your flight and travel plans have been cancelled. Feel sure you can appreciate why. At least they seem on the ball with notification. Hopefully the actual refund will be with you in next 7 days.0 -
Your probably right at least I'm hoping you are!
I'll be patient can't be easy for them.0 -

If you go on their website, bottom left there's a pop up for "Live Chat" if you want to ask them directly to put your mind at rest.0
