Just for a bit of fun, what is something you are absolutely not willing to compromise on when buying a house? For me it would be living on a main road!

Any road with more than a handful of cars going up/down a day.Anywhere near a flight path for the airport.Close to an industrial area or school.Lack of garden (front or back).Servant's quarters.Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.0 -
Another vote for not living on a main road. Did it while renting, never again.
Equally I wouldn't live in a student area - made that mistake as well!2 -
