What do you mean by wifi calling, do you mean using data for VOIP services such as voipcheap etc?alanjones60 said:I will stick with my data reward sim when prices go up,i am a low user so wont hardly make a difference, plus three is the only network that allow wifi calling on pay as you go,as far as i know0 -
Yes. If you have no signal it will use wifi to make calls and send textsgwapenut said:

I don't think he does. I'm on three PAYG and when I got a new phone it just started using WiFi calling automatically when in my house, where the mobile signal is lousy, and connected to my WiFi. Uses it for calls and SMS, incoming and outgoing.gwapenut said:

The really odd thing about that, is that Three resisted encouraging people using Data Reward for phones, even though it is allowed in the T&Cs. So if you only use it for a Mifi dongle etc, you would only use the MyThree web interface, as the dongle would have no app, and would not know about the increased data charges.getmore4less said:

I have 3 SIMs from 3 (two normal and one 200MB free data). I've just returned from a spell abroad where I've used two mobile phones on 3 PAYG only sparingly and have just learned about the recent dramatic price increases. Now I have a couple of questions:
1. On none of the phones and also on the third phone that stayed home (the one with the free data SIM) have I ever received a text telling me about the recent price rise. I have also not received any other communication from 3 WRT this increase. Don't they have a duty to inform me about this change?
2. More importantly, when I started using my first 3 SIM (was around 2014 I think) there was a paragraph on the blurb that said:
"Your rates of 3p/min 2p/text and 1p/MB of data last as long as your Top-up - this lasts until the last penny is spent. Calls are are to standard UK landlines and mobiles - other calls may cost more. Check prices at Three.co.uk/nts You need to use your SIM to make a call, send a text or get online at least once every 6 months to keep your account alive."
I actually went into the local 3 shop to ask specifically about this and I was told that yes, those 321 rates would stay the same for the total value of my all top-ups, now and in the future. So I should be able, I think, to run down my current balances with them on the old rates and only if I top-up, with the new rates in force, be charged those new rates?
